Whoo... I'm pissed. I purchased an LV item on eBay from Rebag. Normally I look directly at their website instead of purchasing through eBay but this item wasn't on their website. That made me suspicious that it probably wasn't really in stock but I purchased it through eBay anyway. I had a feeling there was going to be a problem. Four days later and they hadn't shipped or messaged and now today I get this message:

Hi there, many thanks for your recent purchase. We wanted to reach out to you to let you know that while our team was fulfilling your order, they noticed additional wear that was not reflected in the listing. This item has heavy separating along the exterior edges along with the current listed condition comments: "scuffs and wear on exterior, darkening, wear and watermarks underneath handles, wear and minor ink marks in interior, scratches on hardware". We sincerely apologize that this was missed originally and would be happy to offer you an additional 5% off. We see this bag was purchased during our 20% off promotion so this would bring your total savings to 25% off! Please let us know if you'd like to proceed with your order. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

I replied that no, as tempting as it is to buy your heavily damaged bag for 5% off, neither your pictures nor your description showed anything substantially wrong with the bag. So now I would like you to cancel my purchase and provide me with a full refund and please do it in a timely manner as you have been holding onto my money for 4 days now. No response yet.
Because this was on ebay, I think that requesting to cancel prevents your ability to leave "appropriate" feedback, something I would think you certainly would want to do!

And how the heck do they photograph and list something without noticing all the damage they claim to have found. (I wonder if they weren't happy with the sale price you paid so they claimed it was damaged.)

They relisted the item immediately, at 20% more, using the same pictures that show NO separation along the seams. They did update the written description to include "heavy separation at seams." The item is an LV Mat Malden in gold.

wow -

I wonder if they are sourcing items from big lots of items from overseas, like the big Japanese resellers. That would explain why they don’t know the actual condition of some specific items. A few years ago they somehow found my email address and subscribed me to their “insider” list of upcoming items. Super weird vibe because the emails are very familiar in tone, and the text is like, “as you know, buy 100 items and get xx% off, buy 200 items and get xx% off” type of thing, which I obviously have no interest in. I confronted them about it, since I had never heard of them or their website at the time, and found their messages unsettling. They said they find contact info online and subscribe people to their newsletters as a courtesy. This really does not seem appropriate.
I tried to block them, but they keep coming through.
Here is an example:

I have never purchased anything from them and I cannot escape them. They act so familiar, it is just a creepy vibe. I have inadvertently clicked on their items before when listed on other websites like Vestiaire, and they price some items at 150%+ retail price for items anyone can walk in the store and buy. I have no idea why they are still in business. I get a huge telemarketer vibe from them and I am not a fan.

Report them as SPAM with your email account, if you haven't already. That first email is really weird! They were texting me as if I was a personal friend...similar to the last email example you gave. They also sent a lot of emails like your second email. I wrote them at customer service and said I've reported your emails as invasive and intrusive spam. Keep sending these and I will seek legal counsel for harassment. I never have done that before but I was so peeved about the issues with communication re. actual ordering and then to get these nonsense texts/emails for weeks after that, I was done! Haven't got anything sense.

Thank you! You are exactly right, it feels invasive since they are acting as if they are a personal friend. I will try marking them as spam, thanks for the tip.

I've been into their NYC Financial District location a few times and it's a gorgeous store. Just ordered a lovely Fendi Peekaboo from their website. Condition was listed as 'good', but the bag looks like it's in fantastic condition. Will update again when it arrives! They were super quick to ship it out (took about 8 hours from ordering to shipping)

Great about the fast shipping & enjoy your bag
I've been waiting well over a week for something I purchased from Fashionphile..

Anyone sell with Rebag? I tried for the first time and am incredibly pissed. I got an automatic quote through their "robot", accepted the quote, and shipped the item. Weeks later, they finally received and evaluated it and are not accepting it and gave me an incredibly vague "reason": Not within our internal guidelines

My item (Dior Visor) was brand new with tags, box, dust bag, etc.
I'm pissed I went through all this and am worried they're going to pull some funny business and send back my item incomplete or damaged. I sent in the EXACT item I got an approved quote for in BRAND NEW condition and they still declined it?!

I've had them reject brand new items, items THEY originally sold me. So yes, it happens. Not sure what they are looking for tbh

Yup, they had done that to me too!! after I had sent them all the detail pictures before they gave me the quotes. I will not take their quotes seriously anymore, will give to other consignments first. Wasted my time and efforts (I even had pulled one item out of sale that had offers on it to ship to them)

My guess is they quoted high and they changed their mind.

I know several of you have had poor or questionable experiences with Rebag but here is mine. A few weeks ago, I sent pics of a bag to all the usual places: FP, AFF, Yoogi's, etc. I added Rebag as well which is the first time I've dealt with them. Rebag offered the highest amount, not by much, maybe $25 higher than Yoogi's. I decided to sell it on my own so I listed it on Ebay. Got a few watchers but no movement. After 4 or so weeks, Rebag emailed me with a better, higher offer which was very close to what I expected to get from Ebay after paying final value fees and free shipping if the bag sold around my list price. So, I pulled the listing from Ebay and took Rebag's offer. Mailed it to them 9 days ago. They received it this past Wednesday. I got an email acknowledging receipt and earlier today, received an email that the bag was accepted and they initiated payment. Bank just told me they received the deposit. So, overall, I'm really pleased with how it went and I got as much as I would have from Ebay but without the hassle and the risk.

I received an order from Rebag today. It was a wallet I've been mulling over buying for a while. The condition was listed as "Good" (on a scale of Fair, Good, Very Good, Great, Excellent, Pristine) which usually means "not Good" with most sellers I have dealt with. But I looked over the pictures carefully and felt it was in good condition so I took a chance.

After carefully examining the wallet, I can say it would probably rank "very good" with Fashionphile and "Like new" with Yoogi's. It had a few tiny stray marks (not pen) that cleaned up with a baby wipe. No real wear. So I'm super pleased with the purchase!

Have purchased 2 bags on Rebag, one in "Excellent" condition that was pristine, and one in "Great" condition that was "Excellent" and just needed a careful hand cleaning, which I've done. Had a very good experience there and recommended them to a friend. But this thread was eyeopening. I'll be more careful and tell others to do the same.
