Thank you for this valuable information :). I feel like my store is just trying to get me to spend more money before they get me what I really want :push:

Now this is very puzzling because not so long ago this year quite a few h boutiques in different locations, offered porosus 40's, both matte and shiny, phw and ghw not to order, but already in store backroom eg hidden store inventory to selected clients for instant purchase ... each boutique that called had at least one, some had a matte, some had a shiny, your best bet is to give your exotic wishlist to a store that has a high proportion of clients that buy exotics..

The idea of finding a store thatbkeeps a more ample selection of exotics is a very good idea and try finding a more sessile and a bit less lucrative SA darling I think it may help

lol! i think all stores, H or otherwise, are like that!

but it is true that exotics (esp. for size 40) were not offered at podium last season. many tpfers (who had no problem SO'ing normal leathers) have reported that even FSH was not accepting exotics SO/PO for smaller sizes.

i would say if the stores have exotics hidden in the back, then it makes sense to "deduce" that these are orders from previous years.

even for Japan where exotics are abundant, i think finding one in 40 is a challenge.

I think they do only I would try to get tax back or something I don't know the difference with the U.S maybe if they ship they won't charge it but I'm not sure????? But yes go for it and reveal better yet enjoy wearing in front of that fibbing sa of yours LOL best of luck darling !

LOL!! Thanks you darling birkel :D

Jen_910 You should hop on a plane! When you shop in Japan, you can show your passport and not pay tax. The price (before tax) is similar to what you'd pay in USA+sales tax for non exotic. I'm sure you can confirm the price with the store.

Hi, regarding the RACK orders, I heard that SAs only take Rack orders twice a year during two specific time periods and it's only open to a certain group of customers, is that right? thanks!

When my SA showed me the list of available colours/leather for SO last season (ie AW11) they wrote RAC on that list.

So I asked the SA, and was told that in Hermes world RAC=Special Order. and Special order is just a term that SA uses to clients because it is easier to understand and sounds more "special".

And the RAC that everyone mentions in this thread is actually called Customised orders. The one that you can really design it yourself, like the feather kelly, leopard kelly or invent a new colour etc. There are still limitations; the SA discuss with the client, and then report it to Paris, and then Paris will report back as to whether it can be done or not, if not, an alternative option might be given.

Customised orders are still under quota restriction, which is part of the SO quota. Therefore it is also considered as the RAC quota.

RAC is just a name given to these orders not placed at the podium, and both special order and cutomised order are all included as RAC orders.

Therefore RAC= Speical order and customised order.
