Hi,
Hopefully someone can help me answer...as it's a bit hard to find it on the app...
If you brought a B/K in Paris- does it count toward your quota bag in your home store (US)?
I can't remember if it did or not...as I know it's one every 6 months...

TIA!

It doesn’t.. There was talk that they’d link the system globally, but it hasn’t happened yet.

I thought my quota was reached in both stores and I know their records are separate. I don’t ask for extra bags or whatever and my SAs seem to want to maximise or just ignore whatever quota there is perhaps for Christmas. And then there is timing of arrival of bags. Will share in good time.
I want to update this because in 2019, I have collected 2 SO bags which arrived after a long wait, (a Kelly and a Birkin) and bought another Birkin at FSH. Also another PO Kelly arrived at a store in Europe. All these 4 before May 1. So I can confirm SOs are not quota at FSH.

Hello TPF,

I have been reading the Birkin FAQs and spent a lot of time reading what knowledge owners have given. This has been a great forum. I am located in California and have not bought anything major from Hermes. The stores I am closest to are South Coast Plaza, Beverly Hills, and San Diego. Las Vegas is also pretty close by. I have owned many luxury brands and now am trying to buy my first Birkin or Kelly. Either or works fine. I just prefer a size 25 since that works best for me. Unfortunately, I have heard this is the hardest size to get. I have heard that in order to buy one, typically you have to establish a purchase history or fly to the FSH, which I am not ready to do yet. I have read that certain SAs and depending on the store, can have anywhere from a 1:1 to a 2:1 ratio. So to buy a basic leather Birkin bag, you must spend anywhere from $10-20k. But it seems like it is random as well. Some owners have said that they have spent tens of thousands and still have not been offered Birkin bags while others have said that they have spent a few thousand ($2-5k) and have been offered a Birkin bag.

I would like to understand from the owners who have SAs at South Coast Plaza, Beverly Hills San Diego or Las Vegas (Bellagio, Crystal, Wynn), if there are certain SAs you have had a great experience with and if you wouldn't mind, what you had to spend in order to get the bag you want. If you would like to PM me instead of posting, that is fine. Finding a reasonable and easy going and upfront SA who doesn't make you spend like crazy is what I am trying to connect with. Establishing a purchase history is ok, but I really don't want to spend tens of thousands and still not be offered anything. Thanks in advance for those who can help.

you have a very nice sa...mine counted so as a quota bag

I do not shop at those stores so cannot offer any personal experience with those locations, but I would suggest that you look through the Hermes Shopping subforum. There are several threads in there dedicated to the specific locations that you are interested in as well as threads for SA recommendations.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

My husband walked into an H store on the West Coast with no purchase history and walked out with a B35.

Probably not helpful but it does happen. Men in high end stores are there to buy. No tire kickers means a straight sale.

Different stores do things differently. The shopping threads have info by boutique, so I’d check there.

Good luck!
