This thread is a treasure with all the info and pictures to learn about jade qualities. I love it.

Thanks for the site link Faithgrace7! I wish I could see jade like this everyday.

Modeling pictures of Baby and Lippy! Conditions are outdoors, overcast, sun going down. I really like the look of the two thin bangles together. Not as pretty sounding as 2 of my thicker jades, but this is a very, very feminine look and a good balance for me since I'm so short with short forearms.

I can see where this would look absolutely divine with better color/grain/translucent jade.

They are so beautiful. I love princess round but they are usually in smaller sizes.

This is beautiful. It reminds me of the ocean. If I ever moved away from Hawaii, I'd want a jade piece like that to remind me of home.

You have the perfect kitchen! My husband would adore it, he's really good at cooking. Our kitchen space is so small. I don't cook, but I'm learning to bake and I would make such a mess of those counters!

I'm envious of everyone's beautiful violet jade and super envious of Mochi's awesomeness! He looks ready for Waikiki and fun!

They looks so much alike and they match so well! I love it!

Never apologize for posting pictures of jade! Yours is gorgeous. We never get tired of it. More, please!

Thank you Junkenpo.... my hubby is the real cook in the household..lol. Like you, I prefer baking cookies and making cake over cooking. So this is pretty much his dream kitchen :D

Hi Petals, yes the home can be a depressing place. I think grandma doesnt want to be reminded of her late grand daughter. My hubby's aunt left her home pretty much the same ever since her girl left her. For some reason, my mil discourages my hubby fr visiting grandma. I asked why but my hubby said mil didnt explain. But mil visits grandma pretty often tho...

Gosh i need to catch my breathe catching up . Wanted to come in and say hi to all jadeite queens and princess here but i m so tie up with visting and cooking !

Clairejune . The translucent bangle on esty really rocks . I think you have very good intution for picking out the prettiest things ...

And I really love your latest looks with the yukon and antique bangle !!! I always thought of jadeite as a oriental thing but it looks so amzingly gorgeous with the gold indian bangles as well . Very exotic ....

Silvermom- I LOVE that roaring picture of Mochi . I hope mochi and you are having a great time if u do celebrate a little bit of chinese new year in Hawaii and I love your latest picture of him in hawaiin shirt avatar :)

Daisyshadow - You look so gorgeous in thebatik chheongsam babe and your daughter's kebaya and jade bangle combo looks so demure and pretty :) . Hope u have alaready gotten well from your flu as I m writing this. You are really a kind hearted and person who has lotsa emphaty for others < I hope hubby's grand ma enjoy that bangle that you bought her . It's a very thoughtful gift ..:smile1:

As for whether it could be color-polish bangle . I think most of us are on red- alert after 3jems discovery with her bangle . But don't panic too much , it looks fine to me actually though I cannot say for sure since this is a fairly new ''treatment'' though minimally invasive since it is still consider grade A . Did u actually asked her about the color polish issue ?

Dynasty .. your lavender bangles are really drool worthy !! What a dilemma to wake up and wonder which one to wear ,each one is so mouth watering gorgeous !

Here is the finished look of our kitchen...which we love :D

Love how the princess looks on u babe , very dainty even when stacked . Sorry to hear about the episode with the suspected grade B . Will u decide to return it ?

@Clairejune: what a good buy. Your bangle looks really yummy with all the translucent and color combination. It looks expensive too :-)
@Junkenpo: congrats on getting Lippy and sorry abt the purchase fr gojade, if you are not totally comfy with it, then return is a best option. Lippy and Baby really make a great set, as sister bangles. They must be fr same boulder. I prefer to wear twin bangles on the same wrist, but afraid that they could bang and broke each other. My bff used to wear twins on her left and they make very nice chime everytime she moves, so sexy.

Breadngem, you are right, my antique bangle is huge! My mother bought it during her trip to China at least a decade ago. She bought all kinds of art, hand made rugs, vases, and this bangle. She wore it herself and is used to larger sized bracelets. It does spin but it's not uncomfortable to wear at all. It slides from my wrist to half way up my fore arm. It's really just a different look. The size thing seems to be a consideration somewhat limited to jade bangles, as with other bracelets, it doesn't seem to be quite as important. I think she purchased it as a bracelet, without considering that it should be a snug fit. She also bought it at an antiques store, so I'm sure that they had limited bangles there to choose from. It's probably how she avoided getting a B grade bangle.

I think rice is indeed more translucent and fine than bean types of jadeite.

ladies, we have so many things in common! I adore moonstones too! Maybe we can post of pictures of our moonstones along with the jade! As Druzy said, jade, moonstones and pearls are stones that have a good energy together. I feel this is true because I often wear jade, moonstones and pearls together.

Bernie, you have been working so hard! I hope you are finding times to relax and enjoy all your hard work. It's amazing all that you are doing. I bet your whole family is grateful to have you in their lives!
thanks for the compliments on my new vintage bangle and the antique bangle which I want to name Earth Mama! I'm really happy about the new one because it's an older jade from the 1960's, but was obviously worn lightly or cared for well. So far the energy feels really good. No sadness or haunting of any kind yet.

I'm glad someone gifted me these indian bangles because they really work well for protecting jade bangles from each other. one can stack them this way. The metal is very soft and will not scratch the jade. I recommend these ladies! Yesterday I wore the greens together with all four of my blue and blue green bangles on the other wrist separated by a few of these thin gold indian bangles. It felt great not to worry about harming the jade. Very little banging.

Faithgrace, thanks for posting so many pictures of different types of jade bangles. It's really, really good to see what kinds of B and B/C bangles are being produced. That way, we all have a reference when we see jade bangles being offered as A that look like B and B/C bangles that we have recently seen here. If they look amazingly similar then that's a warning because A bangles are usually very unique and different from each other.

Hi Bernie, thanks for the compliments. I am still unwell n didn't really have the mood to dress up. My hubby wld be giving the bangle to his grandma tomoro. I don't feel at ease wearing pretty bangles if I know the older generations are wearing 'fake' jades. As for your question, I didn't ask UJ about the color polish as I have already read their detailed write up on this issue on their Facebook page. They also promised a full refund if anything is amiss. If the bangle turns dull on grandma's arm, I will send it for a check. Hopefully, I won't need to do this.
