LOL...it's too dangerous to lay them on my counter..... I broke one of my lavender bangle when I dropped it on my bathroom counter :crybaby: It's weird...my fingers somehow just slipped and it felt..my heart dropped when I heard the sound as it hit the countertop....
But...it might look really nice if I place them all on the island...hehe....

Oh no...how awful for u! I hope u went out and bought a beautiful bangle to replace it! :D

I can see the gumminess in that green bangle in the light but I really like that peach. If it were cheap, I'd be suspiscious. If it were priced correctly, I wouldn't be able to afford it. If I could afford it, I'd have send it in to get checked at a lab. so hopefully I'm safe from fake imperial jade. lol

As we can see with the cheaper stuff that may or may not be spot treated jade, I am not so smart.

He quoted me about a 3-4 weeks because he said there were other orders ahead of mine! lol I'm thinking that makes it closer to valentine's day, but I am definitely looking forward to it. I asked for a princess round, so there will be lots of pictures.

Speaking of princesses...here are my latest UJ small princess bangles. The smaller one is 51.5 and her name is Baby Jade. I will call her Baby. The other one is 53.2 and has that lip on the inside, so her name is Lippy.

They match each other and look good with biggest sister Princess. They are so much lighter than Princess, and so much thinner. I'm worried about cracking them because I'm so clumsy.

Very pretty. Congrats on the new bangles : )

Hi sisters, my hubby's grandma who is in her 90s joined us for CNY lunch yesterday. She was wearing a jade bangle that looked like a type B or C to me. My mil bought it for her fr a nearby market, and it looked totally dry and dull. Told my mil that I wld get a type A bangle for her mum so this morning, I went to UJ and got this baby. It's inexpensive; I paid SGD 190. What do you all think? Grandma is quite poor thing actually. She wanted to live in a home after the granddaughter whom she cared for since birth passed away at the age of 13 a few years ago. Since then, she hasn't been keen on any form of celebrations, birthdays/CNY. Hope this wld cheer her up! :)

Very sweet of u to do this. Im sorry to hear about the grandaughter who passed away at 13

clairejune,
I didn't realize if Emerald have similar color with Violet and Peaches until today when I take the pictures all three together.

I love lavender and if I find more lavender I will get more but right now I'm looking for this white/honey color bangle pair with the earings, what do you think?

Oh, I love honey color or any color at that color range...LOL...I m still looking for a nice one.. Best of luck in finding yours. This honey bangle looks chubby too...color is soft also. Who's the seller for these if you don't mind me asking :) ?

Okay ladies, I took my photos. The seller is gojade on e_bay.

Here is the bangle. I liked the color and liked the spot and it seemed like they had okay feedback, except for things being cracked or broken or not quite what was pictured.

It's thinner than I had thought it would be and lighter, even for the size. Just touching it feels different. Not quite fuzzy, but when you run your fingernail over it, you feel the little cracks, etc. My other jade feels smoother, more glassy except where there are actual surface flaws.

When you look at the surface, it is easy to see lines/pits all over the surface of the bangle, inside and out. The chime sounds duller and shorter.

So I louped with my 10x loupe plus camera phone.

This one is going back to the vendor.

Hum...it looks nice..but looking from your 10x loop, it kinda scary looking seeing those pores. I bought from Gojade before. He used to sell decent jades with great prices couple years ago. But the last time I bought from him...it turned out to be a B

Petals12, your renovated kitchen is so beautiful. I would love to have such a kitchen.

Jadelover, thanks for your compliment. We finally cooked our first dinner, the CNY dinner at home tonight...it sure is great to be able to eat homemade food again :smile1:

Faithgrace, thanks for sharing all those different Grade B, C pics for us to compare with. The more we know...hopefully the less likely that we'll be trick again :D

Aw...I feel so sorry for your hubby's grandma! I am sure whatever you buy for her, she will like it a lot. Maybe you and your hubby can visit her every now and then if she really goes to a home. I used to work as a social worker in a convalescent home before...it's quite a depressing place...IMO

This thread is a treasure with all the info and pictures to learn about jade qualities. I love it.

Thanks for the site link Faithgrace7! I wish I could see jade like this everyday.

Modeling pictures of Baby and Lippy! Conditions are outdoors, overcast, sun going down. I really like the look of the two thin bangles together. Not as pretty sounding as 2 of my thicker jades, but this is a very, very feminine look and a good balance for me since I'm so short with short forearms.

I can see where this would look absolutely divine with better color/grain/translucent jade.

Love the look of these two bangles together....very soft and feminine like you said :smile1:

Oh...it took my jeweler a year later to find my perfect lavender bangle...but the cost is 6x more than my broken one. Luckily hubby feels sorry that I broke the other one...so he decided to gift it to me along with the lavender heart that's cut from the same boulder :p But that one that I broke...I worn it for less than a week...maybe it's meant not to be with me :nogood:
