My mil bought it for her fr a nearby market, and it looked totally dry and dull. Told my mil that I wld get a type A bangle for her mum so this morning, I went to UJ and got this baby. It's inexpensive; I paid SGD 190. What do you all think? Grandma is quite poor thing actually. She wanted to live in a home after the granddaughter whom she cared for since birth passed away at the age of 13 a few years ago. Since then, she hasn't been keen on any form of celebrations, birthdays/CNY. Hope this wld cheer her up! :)

What an incredibly kind and generous thing for you to do for grandmother. You are truly a blessing to your family. Grandmother will love it because it came from you. You certainly will shine a bright light into her life. Kudos to you.

As for whether it could be color-polish bangle . I think most of us are on red- alert after 3jems discovery with her bangle . But don't panic too much , it looks fine to me actually though I cannot say for sure since this is a fairly new ''treatment'' though minimally invasive since it is still consider grade A . Did u actually asked her about the color polish issue ?

Dynasty .. your lavender bangles are really drool worthy !! What a dilemma to wake up and wonder which one to wear ,each one is so mouth watering gorgeous !




Your kitchen so looks something from one of those cooking shows ! . It's impeccably neat ... I love your new imperial jade acqusitions . They must cost a bomb . Luscious drops of bright dewy green !

I don't feel at ease wearing pretty bangles if I know the older generations are wearing 'fake' jades. As for your question, I didn't ask UJ about the color polish as I have already read their detailed write up on this issue on their Facebook page. They also promised a full refund if anything is amiss. If the bangle turns dull on grandma's arm, I will send it for a check. Hopefully, I won't need to do this.

Sorry... Hv not been able to log in for awhile. Ssoo busy with last minute preps followed by the usual New Year hustle & bustle. Totally exhausted from all the eating & visiting.

Thanks 3jems. Moonstones are my birthstone, so by almost 40, I've collected quite a few. Moonstones are like jade in that prices have soared in the last few years. They used to be more affordable, and now the supplies really are dwindling. So if you see a good moonstone at a descent price, grab it! One has to be careful not to confuse moonstone with rainbow labradorite, which is a close relative, but much more abundant. They look really similar though.
