This discusdion has inspired me to dig out my bangles to wear again. This is another lavendar one. It was much cheaper as the quality is not as good, altho it is also Grade A. As u can see, it is not so translucent, more opaque. And the colour is more of a greyish white rather than purple. I like it but wish it is a bit smaller. It feels a little too big on me, don't u think? Although it doesnt slip off my hand easily.

This one is very similar to one I saw when I was still in my early twenties and still in college. It was more white/gray in parts, but was clear in areas like this and with those dark green bursts. It was the centerpiece of a window display and I remember wanting it so much.

I don't remember what it cost, but at the time I thought it was too expensive. Little did I know that I'd be into costly jewelry in my 30s. When I look at jade now, I think I'm trying to capture that same feeling of "How beautiful, I want this" that I had when I saw that one long ago.... but so far, nothing. I think I may be priced out of one that I'd really be happy with now.... :girlsigh:

It doesn't look too big. It is really nice.

Breadngem, I think it looks perfect, I love it! Druzy, I saw that one too. So unusual. They had some others like it but cheaper. Alas, their gone now :( Daisy, gorgeous bangle! Where did you get it? Regarding the bangle with the brace, I'm sure it is over a crack, otherwise it would surely be more. I've seen quite a few on JoJo for 500,000 up to 2 million! Their older web page under jojojade had some really expensive ones. Now they won't sell anything over 50,000 on line, and don't list them. Too bad cuz I loved looking at them.

Silver Mom, my dream bangle was offered to me at $7500 coz it's too small for many people. The other 2 pieces sold for $12,500. That's why I keep looking out for similar deals! Unfortunately none can rival my dream bangle in terms of color saturation. Perhaps it's gone by now, someone with small wrist and ample budget is bound to come along..

The next expensive bangle I get is going to be lavender one. I saw one at jojo right after I bought mine that is amazing. Wish I had the money for it right now! I'll save for my dream bangle, a deeper blue lavender one that is mysterious looking as it it came from an enchanted stream with violets growing on the banks! I also want to get some blueish lavender earrings to match my other two blue/lavender bangles. I think it is great to have a set, like your lavender one. I will post my wedding present bangle when I get it from re polishing soon! OK people, what would your dream bangles look like?

Clairejune, I think I have about 10 or so...I think my problem is that I like all unique color jades...they don't have to be top of the line...as long as they are pleasing to me eyes and fit my wrist...oh...and with the right price...I want to bring them home with me :D Hubby said to me that he doesn't understand why I love jade so much compares to the other gems...but he promise to gift me a nice jade bangle on our 25th anniversary....which is in 2 more years...I just hope the price won't jump by then.

Now....my dream bangle? I am hoping to find a bangle with even apple green color and it sure would be nice to be a translucent one. The place where I buy most of my nice bangles has 2 old jade bangles in nice green color. It's the green bean type, and she is willing to sell to me for 9500. Too bad I don't have the budget for it yet. It fits perfectly on my wrist too :/
