Oooh.....LOVE that lavender colour, so pretty! The winter melon one is very unique too!

Ladies, I checked out jojo jade at www.jadefinejewelry.com but half the listings had no photos. Something wrong with the website or my comp?

Not so easy navigating the site; the search function couldn't filter out the new products by categories so I couldn't zoom into the bangles quickly. Or did I somehow miss it??

Went to www.jojojade.com but that had fewer jade listings.

Any tips from Jojo buyers here?

Hope I didn't go to the wrong site!

Druzy, you got the right site. JoJo is in the process of uploading a new batch of jade on their website. It must take a while, and since web sales is a small part of their business, it probably doesn't take priority. Jack from JoJo told me that they mostly sell to wholesalers and buyers in person.

Also, you are right, the new products category has everything new thrown in without organization. The best way to see the bangles is to click on bangles and it should then show size categoriesChose a category, because there are hundreds in each category. If you just click on bangles and don't choose a size category then only one page of mixed sizes comes up.

Some random thoughts:

1. Each time I add a bangle to my jade collection, I invariably think about who's going to inherit them... lol. No daughters, and my future daughters in law may not appreciate jade the way i do. Jade is wasted on someone who doesn't know or love it, don't you think?

2. At the rate jadeite prices are going, with hints of unsustainable supply from Myanmar, and import ban in the US, maybe it's time to seriously start collecting beautiful rare pieces, and hold out for the appreciation? Will jadeite make a valuable investment?

3. How easy is it to sell our own collection? Where do we start? Like someone mentioned earlier, other buyers may think twice about purchasing a used bangle with bad vibes...

Also, you have to have a common wrist size. With my yellow bangle the saleslady gave me a good price because she said it was too small and nobody else could fit it.

Druzy, I too always think about who I will pass them off to. Jade appreciation can only start when people are exposed to them ie touching, wearing ect. So passing something on might spark jade love. That being said, most people don't get jade cuz of it's fineness.

Definitely start buying now. I read a statement from a Chinese investor about how if he does't buy jade pieces now, he won't be able to afford them later. Looking at market trends, most precious stones like ruby, sapphire and emerald have skyrocketed over the last decade. Jade prices have risen by 10% a year in the last decade, and this follows the trend.

You could consign with a reputable jewelry store that also does on line sales, and also through forums like this one and pricescope, by letting people know you are selling, and providing a link to preowned jewel sites on which individuals sell their stuff, like Loupetroup and Diamond Bistro. Pricescope has a preloved jewel forum which is great for people who want to sell stuff in order to upgrade to something different or better. Lots of sales on that forum. I've seen people list multiple items and sell all or most items. Its a very active forum.

Ugh, I know, it's crazy how many great things they've got. My dream bangle is on there, a deep purple and blue one. I have to remind myself that if it is meant to be, it will. Some people believe that jades choose their owner via energy. I console myself by thinking that!
