I have never bought anything from Ultimate Jadeite before. I have only heard of YinYu Jade but have no idea about buying online. Any advice and suggestions on where is safe place to purchase?

I would look for stores who have 100% money back guarantee if the jade you bought is tested to be fake. If you purchase from Ultimate Jadeite, I am sure they can provide you a certificate of authenticity with additional costs. The bangle I bought was expensive so they gifted me the certificate :)

Thanks! :)
For me, mum had a 53mm bangle and I could put it on and take it off easily without cream or soap. The current bangle I have is 52.6mm and I need to cream to put it on and take it off. I reckon I could go even smaller because it doesn't take much effort even with cream :)

However, I heard you can measure your size by measuring the length of three of your knuckles. There are various ways on the net if you just search it up! :)

Yes I read on the net but some websites suggest adding 1mm-3mm to the measurement. I was wondering how everyone on this thread arrived at their bangle size. Does 1mm make a lot of difference? Some feedback would help me in my decision. Thanks!! :)

1mm might not make too much of a difference but 2mm would :)

It also depends on how flexible your hand is. My bangle size is smaller than 3 knuckles ;)

I see. And are icy colours considered more valuable than green? Please advise!!! I wanna get one online but not sure how to choose one! Your help would be much much appreciated. 😊

What I did was to try out an actual bangle at a shop to determine my size. That way I know what size to buy online. It doesn't have to be a jade bangle, even a cheap plastic one will do. Just make sure the bangle u try on is hard n inflexible, so that u get an accurate sizing. Cos jade is very inflexible.

Also, if u get a thin bangle, u can go 1 or 2 mm smaller, as there is less surface area, so easier to slip over your hand. For wide bangles, it is better to get your actual size. I made the mistake of buying a wide bangle in a smaller size online n I couldn't fit it over the knuckles of my hand.

I may be wrong, but I think the value is determined more by the translucence and color saturation rather than the actual color itself. I have seen some green bangles (very beautiful n translucent) in stores which cost more than icy white ones. I guess it's more of a quality issue.
