Purse Hooks / Hangers

I've had several purse hooks - actually my husband just got a cool one from a sales meeting - with the name of a company I've never heard of printed on it - but it was free so I'll keep it as an extra.

I also just got my first Clipa. I got shiny gold off of Amazon. I really like it.

I have a nice Clipa story to share! I have 2 of them (gold and silver) and as I mentioned, I use them quite often to hold my purse on the back of the seat in front of me on the commuter train.

Last week I noticed that one of the plastic pads on the bottom of my silver Clipa was missing. I sent an email to their customer service and asked if it would be possible to replace the pad?

They immediately responded that they would be happy to mail a new silver Clipa to me as a free replacement. So it arrived yesterday and now I have a brand-new silver Clipa!

Wasn't that nice?!

Personally, I don't care for purse hooks, so I do not use one. However, I do understand why there are those of us who do. So, it just depends on the person.

And it also depends on the utensil being used - I would NEVER use what many here consider to be a purse hook - the only thing I've ever used and loved is the Clipa, and that is such a nice piece of hardware it can also do double-duty as a bracelet!

I am going to buy a clipa now I am hearing so much about them. The purse hook I have was from a Brighton and it's pretty and all I don't know how long it will last. Besides after reading the post I kept thinking it would come in handy in the winter as well to hang my coat in the washroom. So it's a win win situation for me.

I don't think that they have been faked but if you post a link to one that you are thinking of ordering from ebay, I will take a look and tell you if it looks like mine.

I had many purse hooks, starting from $.99 to those more expensive. Yes, many of them look funny and weird. But if you are willing to spend more money on a better product you can find something very elegant. Look at this thehookup.com/in-use - TheHookUp.com

I wish there was a purse hook that can be stuck to doors instead of tables. Havent seen them around yet - unless i get those big S hooks to hang coats on... bit weird. I hate going to public toilets where the hook has broken off so you cant hang it anywhere or put it anywhere clean. This may be a bit gross, but its reality sadly..

I use my Clipa hooks on doors, church pews, the back of seats in front of me in theaters and on the commuter train - lots of places!
