Purse Hooks / Hangers

Yup! I like this one. I was in a public bathroom once with no hook on the door. It was bananas! I have a purse hook rec. as a gift, but it's not very compact, so I was about to buy a foldable one. Glad this one was brought to my attention. Just ordered one! :-)

Yes, the foldable ones are good for flat surfaces like tables and counters but the bangle style, like the Clipa, will work with most flat surfaces but also areas such as restroom doors, church pews, the back of a chair or the back of the seat in front of you on the train!

I do! I actually live in the suburbs but work in the city. I used to use the clipa occassionally - at a restaurant, in church, etc. but now that I am a commuter it gets used a bunch. It drives me crazy when I see a woman dumping beautiful, expensive bags onto the filthy floor of the train!
We need a list of purse sins. I think that would be at the top or very close. Another: dirty interiors. Ewww!

I have a clipa too and love it!! I never realized how useful it was till I took my grandson to see Ice age. Where do you put your purse??? I cliped it to the seat in front of me and it was safe and clean!!!!

I have 2 Clipa hooks (gold and silver) and they are great, they hold up to 45 pounds and are very versatile. I use them often to suspend my bag from the back of the seat in front of me on the commuter train. Yesterday at the doctor's office I used a single clipa to hang both my purse and my mother's bag. They can also be worn on your bag or as a bangle:

Love that it is American made - neat little gadget. Question - does it make any dents either in your leather bag or the flat surface you hook it on?

That hasn't been a problem, I usually hang the bag by one of the metal loops at either side of the bag that holds the strap. And the ends of the clipa are rounded and have a semi-soft plastic gel pad afixed to the ends.

When I use the clipa on the vinyl covered upholstery of the train seat backs, it does leave some dents but they disappear very quickly after I remove the hook. At first I was afraid that the train conductors would tell me not to use it, but they have never said a word.
