No its not weird. I think its gross when I see bags on the floor, esp in the bathroom. Plus hooks can be pretty and is an accessory for your baby. 
I think they're a good idea, and I have two myself...but I never use them! It just doesn't seem worth the effort to haul them out and find a good place to hang them. Also, I have this sneaking suspicion that having them suspended like that puts them in a more susceptible position for thieves

I don't think they are weird. But the fact that every one of my family and friends knows that my purse requires it's own chair....now that's weird.
Where I live it's not socially acceptable to take up a whole chair with a bag, because restaurants and tea shopes tend to be crowded and busy. Sometimes people even have to eat "a piedi" (standing at the bar). I feel weird keeping my bag on a chair if there aren't enough seats for people.
I think it's much easier for a thief to grab a bag that's sitting on a chair than one hanging under the table from a purse hook.

Do anyone know if any of the Clipas on ebay are authentic? Clipas website don't ship to my contry.

Hmmm it never even occurred to me these could be fake. I bought mine from jerilynpursebling on eBay. She also has a direct website Purse Bling. All I know is, they sure do the trick.
I've bought directly from Purse Bling and have never had a problem. Jerilyn seems like a sweet person and shipping is always quick.
Just wanted to update: got my Clipa today and it's truly amazing. And it came in a box with a brochure.
