anyone? I bought a pre-loved bag that looks like it could use some new hardware and a good cleaning.

I think I paid around $225.00 a few months ago for a medallion. inside and out. So pricing is similar. You have to specify if you also want inside because the repair lady said the default is outside only. Hardware and straps are extra. On another bag, I had straps replaced and it was $60.00. Best to call for your specific bag and needs. I like the NYC store the best. oThey will ship it back to you if you don't/can't pick it up.. I think the charge was $25.00 as I recall. Bal Harbour is good too. I have also used Orlando and they send their bags to California somewhere and it was not the best results.
Long story short, Orlando store has to redo my bag.

Hope this was helpful.

Do everything at once because it takes several weeks.

Thanks for the info! I'll probably bring to Chanel San Francisco since I'm near there...hope it won't have problems since it might get sent to California for repair! lol.

Do they take purses without the authenticity card? I wanted to buy one online and it was authenticated here at the purse forum, but I wanted to get it cleaned and what not.

I also bought a bag that was authenticated but without the card. From my research on the forum here, you shouldn't be bringing any dust bag or cards anyway because they've had lost it before. Just bring your bag. And they're suppose to send it in anyhow, but if the repair people cannot authenticate it, they send it back to you along with a letter explaining why they cannot do the repairs.

Oh, great you can take it into a store! My problem was the straps. I got new straps for a medallion. They came back uneven! I didn't realize it until maybe a month or two and was wondering why the straps felt odd. So..... Check the repairs and make sure they are good. They fixed mine for free so no problem there, but it was another 6-8 weeks!

Bag comes back looking brand new! Worth every penny.

Thank you! I am just trying to cover my tracks. I love the bag and really want it. I am glad they stated it was real, but it would kill me to send it and it come back as a fake! I wouldn't at that point be able to return it because it would be too late. Ugh I dont know what to do. What do you all think... buy or pass??

It's definitely a risk to take and you gotta decide if it's worth it. I plan on taking my own pictures once the bag arrives and having it authenticated by a site like Etinceler Authentications just for my own sake of mind before bringing it to the boutique for the refurbish. I purchased from a reseller site so it'll come with a security tag, and once that tag comes off, I can't return the bag. Good luck!
