Hi Everyone, posting this in the hopes it may help someone else.

I have a 2006 Black Caviar Small Accordion Flap Bag with silver chain and hardware. I bought it on Ebay (it is authentic). Anyway the seller lied on the listing and did not mention that the piping on the bottom corners was worn and opening. But, the rest of the bag looked great so I looked into getting it fixed.

I contacted Gerry at Leather Surgeons in PA, they quoted me $355 for replacing the piping. He is very knowledgeable and gave me a fast quote. They will also authenticate when/before fixing. I felt the price was steep though!

So then I just walked over to the Chanel Boutique on Madison Ave (NYC). They quoted me $285 to replace the piping (cheaper than leather surgeons) and $585.00 for complete overhaul service (does not touch inside). ETA about 2 months.

I have not made a decision yet but if I do get it fixed I will go with Chanel based on the fact they are less expensive and it is their product!

does chanel still do repair services? i went to a chanel boutique and was told they no longer touch the leather - only hardware replacing and stitching. has anyone recently done a full refurbish through a boutique and if so how much did it cost and how long did it take?

I have not sent any bag to the Chanel SPA for the last couple of years, but I believe they still work on relatively new bags (<5years). If possible, I would take the bag to another Chanel boutique as different stores may give you different answers. You could also call Chanel NY or BH as those stores seem to be a little more consistent with the Chanel policies... Good luck!

Does anyone has current price list?
Is it true that they no longer service bags older than 5 years? SA has not heard of such rule when I spoke with her today. I live in Europe.

How to drop off your item:
-When you drop of your item just drop off the item itself, not the dustbag, cards or box.
-Tell them what you want done to the item or see if they have any suggestions.
-Be sure to keep your repair ticket receipt to present at pick up.
-Repair takes 2-3 months.
-Payment is due at pick up.

Other notes:
-If you are getting a lining replaced you will lose your hologram.
-If your item is suspected to be counterfeit, they will not take it in for service.

Hi everyone just wondering if a small tear as such can be repaired by Chanel or I’m better off doing it with an external provider? Also does the full refurb include getting rid of smell? The bag smells terrible :(

Hi does anyone know how much it costs to have a chanel grommet replaced? My cf has developed a couple hairline scratches!

Also does anyone know how much it costs to have the inner flap re-stitched to the outer bag?

I'm in Canada! Thank you!
