i need some advice as to if i should get this purse or not. it's priced at $600. it's slightly damaged. the issues are:
1) missing the CCs
2) patent leather has lost its luster in some parts so it needs to be refinished to even it out
3) minor issue: noticed that the chain strap has some green in it due to oxidation?

do you think it's worth buying and refurbishing? this would be my 1st chanel. i'm going back and forth because i don't know how often i would use it (i'm a mom of 2...) thanks!

I have had 3 Chanel items with crystals replaced by Chanel. 1 was $14 and the other 2 were about $12 per Crystal. They also checked the stability of the other crystals when they did the repair. I was happy with the service.

Would they service this bag considering that it is an old vitage piece or should I take it to a well known local cobbler? He is being used by beverly hills nm and saks chanel and womans shoe dept. Your inputs will be greatly appreciated!!

Chanel. It took a nano second to think that through. They have the parts. If someone else handles it, it becomes modified Chanel. They do an amazing comprehensive package and it is only in the USA. I'd put all my bags through there if I lived in the USA.

So I bought a bag that didn't come with the chain.

According to the list, I could get the gold/leather interlace one for $60?

I don't have a Chanel boutique where I live (Arizona), only a Saks and a NM. Could I bring it there and still get the chain? Will they take my bag just for the chain, or have it sent over to me?

Go straight to CHANEL. Do not pass go. There is a link to the price list. They charge $260 to fully recondition a bag in the US. If you skimp and only do bits of it, you will regret it. These bags are a serious investment! It will look great afterwards.
