Update: I spoke to Celine, the manager for repairs at the NYC 57th Street Boutique and I was told that they do re-plating! I recently sent my 11 series gold hardware jumbo and another chanel to be replated I'll update again once my pieces come in.

I brought my classic flap to SF boutique to replace the snap button, and they told me it is USD$85 and takes probably 12-16 weeks! I also asked the price of the full refurbishment. The SA told me it is $265, and said they only have 1 price increase on the repair in past 27 yrs. So seems like there is no price change on the refurbishment.

No way, really?! That would be so cool if full refurbishment was still $265! I do wonder if the SA was mistaken though, since several other members on here have spoken about the price increase. Also, would you by any chance know how much it would cost to replate the knob closure on the classic flap? I found a purse that has silver show through and was wondering if they could fix that. Thank you!

You could give a call to the boutique and they will tell you the price. Some may not tell you right away and ask you to bring it in to give a check first, then you just keep calling other stores to get the price quote.

No receipt or authenticity card is needed, I just bring my bag with the dust bag and they just take a look. They won't repair/refurbish if it is fake. So, if they found it is a fake bag, they will call you they can't repair/refurbish it and they will give you a letter explaining the details.

I don't own the bag yet, so I wouldn't be able to bring it in. I'm just trying to figure out if it's even possible since I'll only bid if I can get it fixed. I should call and find out. But they're always so snobby and intimidating boo. :(

How to drop off your item:
-When you drop of your item just drop off the item itself, not the dustbag, cards or box.
-Tell them what you want done to the item or see if they have any suggestions.
-Be sure to keep your repair ticket receipt to present at pick up.
-Repair takes 2-3 months.
-Payment is due at pick up.

Other notes:
-If you are getting a lining replaced you will lose your hologram.
-If your item is suspected to be counterfeit, they will not take it in for service.
