Hey! I am not sure if they replate the CCs. I think they actually have to replace the entire thing, which is why some ladies here do not want to take in their vintage CCs. Correct me if im wrong!

They can replace it but the thing with most vintage CC is that they are gold plated. If you replace it, they won't replace it with gold plated, just gold colored hardware

Thanks for the heads up. I don't know what to do now. There's silver show through only on the knob of my flap and I do so love the deep gold color of vintage flaps. I guess I should just leave it alone for now, and replace all the hardware in the future if it really bugs me.

I was in chanel and asked the same question. He said as mine is the stamped ghw chanel will need to find if they have the same hw in stock and this might take 3 months. I am planning to take mine in soon but will only replace if it's still stamped ghw otherwise, i will live with it.

For hardware work, I only had one snap button replaced at Chanel as far as I recall. Though, I know that Rago Brothers does hardware replating.

I had one Chanel bag cleaned at Rago Brothers and it came out fine, but I have to say that I prefer the Chanel Spa. It takes a lot more time to clean, but my bags always came out perfect.

Hi ,me and my friend went to chanel store in sydney today I came to repair my bangle it has a crystal missing ,staff was very friendly althought took ages to find out the model and to find out werther they still have matching piece to replace missing ,but finally told me that it was possible and that it would be around $20 to replace one missing crystal which to me sounds quite resonnable but the problem was my friend had a chanel watch that got scratch and she wanted a repair and was refused because the watch was given to her as a gift from the usa, they just refused to repair it , does anyone had a watch refused repair because it came from oversea?
