I was referring to the blanket statement that H tax refunds in Europe are always 12%.
Again, back to topic.

This is false as the refund is based on the VAT/TAX that each country impose on each businesses. So essentially you get the tax back on purchases you made based on the tax % imposed by govt on Hermes (sorry too boring!).

It's 15% tax refund for H in the UK when it's 10% in France? Hmmm I may have to rethink my policy of only shopping in Eurozone.....

VAT here is 20%, in the UK, minus commission, VAT refund is around 13%-16% depending on the amount purchased. I am surprised to hear refund is only 10% in France. Do they really charge that much commission in France?

if you ladies want to calculate how much you get back when you shop in Eurozoe and UK. You can do you own research first and do the maths

Yes, that is what I was saying, but the other poster was very certain of their number :shrugs:
