Does australia charge taxes separately or is it already in? In canada taxes are added on separately. So if the prices u listed already includes tax then its on par. As the tax in my province is 13%.

10% tax is included in the price in Australia. Even when you factor in 13% tax for CAN, most of the end prices (espec. for scarves/ shawls) are still much cheaper :smile1:

I just updated my original post with tax inclusive prices ;)

Oh my, the grass is always greener, isn't it. yikes. We have 15% tax in this province on top of listed prices. The annoying this about the CDN $ is that it does go up and down quite regularly, so while we may have (compared to the US$) 1.45 this week, in a few months the rate could be 1.2. The reality is that we have an artificially low $ right now reacting to the markets, oil and commodities.

Hopefully H will take that into account and be kind when adjusting prices. ;) Anyone at H reading this? :winkiss:

i think you have to be a little bit more specific: is it normal all leather version? negonda or other kinds of leather? is it printed lining or normal lining? these all varies with the pricing.
and EU price for all leather version is 2430, not 2650.

its full leather with printed lining, as i thought all the new gp came with printed lining. Thank you

Yeah, no price increase in the US this year!!

Hermès, French Luxury Goods Giant, Warns of ‘Complicated’ 2016

PARIS — The French luxury goods maker Hermès cautioned on Wednesday that 2016 would be a “complicated year,” even as it posted strong full-year profit on the back of one of the highest levels of sales growth in the sector.

Axel Dumas, the company’s chief executive, said that Hermès was bracing for volatile demand and reiterated that sales growth could be below its medium-term target of 8 percent at constant exchange rates.

“There has been an economic slowdown in China, a strong dollar that held back tourist flows to the U.S., and now repeated terrorist attacks in the eurozone,” he said. “We see 2016 as a complicated year.”

Mr. Dumas added that the number of tourists in France had not returned to the levels they were at before the November attacks in Paris, and he added that it was too early to gauge the impact of Tuesday’s assaults in Brussels, which killed at least 31 people.

Hermès sales rose 8.1 percent in 2015, compared with sales growth of 11.1 percent the previous year, and they were significantly higher than at rivals like Louis Vuitton and Dior, part of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton; and Gucci, which is part of the Kering conglomerate.

Hermès said that it would raise prices this year by 3 percent to 4 percent in the eurozone to reflect cost increases, but that it would leave them unchanged elsewhere to reduce price discrepancies among regions.

The company, the maker of printed silk scarves and Kelly handbags, said recurring operating income rose 19 percent in 2015 to 1.54 billion euros, or $1.73 billion, producing a margin of 31.8 percent.

It proposed raising its dividend 14 percent, to €3.35 a share after posting a net profit for 2015 of €973 million, an increase of 13 percent. Hermès shares were up 2.4 percent in midafternoon trading in Paris on Wednesday.

When is the increase to happen in Europe?

Hmmm...the price has increased in some other regions in January so is he referring to another increase since this is reported in March?

Watches saw/ will see an increase of 10-15% according to my SA; would anyone care to chime in if they know differently?

Does that mean no price increase in Canada either...? o_O

When is the increase to happen in Europe?

This simply means THERE IS NO PRICE INCREASE AT ALL but an ADJUSTMENT to prices. The said "increase" in Europe is to make the prices on PAR with say, UK and US, where both currencies are stronger than EUR.

Imagine, if prices in EUR to stay as it is, US buyers will rather buy in Europe as the USD is stronger then EUR i.e. you get more for a $1 as you need less $ to buy EUR === this will hurt sales of HERMES US which isn't good for the group. To make all things equal, prices in Europe is adjusted to USD and/or GBP prices.

I hope this makes sense.

Don't get too fixated about price differences because trust me, corporations are way smarter than we think they are. They will NOT let you save money on them...

Do you know when the adjustment will happen in Europe?

Does that mean no price increase in Canada either...? o_O
My SA in Calgary says they haven't had one this year. The Canadian dollar isn't performing well against the US dollar but is holding steady against the Euro. I had him order me an enamel bracelet that was $700 on the US site where I pulled the item info and it was $500 Canadian.

I really honestly think they need to bring the US prices down a lot...it's ridiculous how much more Hermès costs here, and it's always been this way.
The value and cost in France is the true value of it as that's where they are based and make almost everything. So that means US price should adjust to euro price (aka actual price) and not just leave it where it is as they raise the actual value to the inflated price.
