Preference for LV made in France/USA/Spain...??

most of the members on here tend to prefer made in france are usually wanting a connection of an actual french made product since lv is founded in paris, france.

I don't think their isn't any differences. Just only made in different countries. All materials are source from the same place, but manufactured in different countries. Maybe some do feel their is superior craftsmanship depending where it made. But they are just opinions in the end. Thats all. :smile1:

Yep that pretty much explains it all.
I would think all the artisans are trained the same way regardless of country.
It is mostly hand made, so there will be some flaws no matter where it's from or what tag it has. I would just inspect that the particular bag I want has no flaws and be content with that.

Agreed! I think that the majority of mine were made in France, but I definitely have at least one that was made in the USA :)

Could you please tell me what the difference is. I was in my local LV store buying two bags and one was made in USA and the other France. My SA asked why do I care. I have read so many postings from you gals/guys that MIF bags are more desireable. I would like to know why. SA said the bags made in the USA is from imported fabrics and are made in USA because of demand. I don't get it. So please help me understand. Should I have not bought a MIU bag? Inferior?

There are several threads on the this topic. You should do a search for more responses.

Short answer, LV is a French company, so some buyers only want a made in France stamp. I wouldn't have know or cared before TPF. Now I ask for MIF, if they don't have it, I'll take whatever is available. Others believe that MIF are better made, but reading the stories here, it's really hit or miss on quality sometimes regardless of where the bag is made. HTH!
