I know that in Canada, it is really a matter of luck whether you get an LV made in france or made in USA.

but if you go directly to Paris to shop, are all of the LV's there 'Made in France'? or is there an off-chance that you will get something made in spain?

In the U.S. the more common bags are always made in USA. You might be able to find for example a speedy made in france here in the U.S., but it is rare. I live 10 minutes away from the Factory where they make the bags in the U.S. it is in a lovely small city here in Southern California called San Dimas. That is why you will see SD marked on the bag. As far as quality I think it is all the same. Remember each bag is individually made so there are chances one bag may be made better than the other. I bought a Galliera GM in June 2010 it was very lovely and almost perfect. I returned it almost a year later because of the black markings defect and they gave me a new one but this one was made in USA. The new one is just as lovely as the one that was MIF it also still gets the black markings. I still love it though!! I love bags Made in USA and I also love bags Made in France. It really does not matter to me. It is all about personal preference.

I live in the Netherlands en some of my bags are made in France en some are made in Spain. My last purchase was a artsy infini and I haven't look inside but I think it's made in France.

I just got the neverfull mm and its made in USA. I'm thinking about returning it though. I had so much luck with the ones MIF and have not heard too many good things about the ones MIU :(

Also a couple of my friends have the NF but they're all MIF!! Unfair.

I'm planning to make my first purchase (Azur NF MM) and I'm really hoping for a MIF. I was actually somewhat...disappointed to learn that they are made in MIU? I dunno. Personal opinion though of course. :)

It is possible to find made in France speedy, at least the35mc.My local lv boutique had 3. Even my salesperson was surprised, said I was lucky! However, one had a serious flaw in the canvas alignment, you have to look your bags over, before you leave the store.Nothing is perfect. P.s. I'm in u s a on the east coast.

I spoke with an LV SA recently and they explained to me that the bags that are made in USA are actually better quality sometimes because the US has more quality control, they have to check each and every bag not just a batch of them like they do in other countries. I thought that made a lot of sense and I will from now on prefer my LV bags to be made in USA if I have the choice :D

I wish my bags where all made in France but I can see why LOUIS VUITTON manufactures them in the U.S.A. and other countries. As long as the quality isn't compromised, I think bags made in other countries are equal.

I've recently had a nice chat with a SA at My local LV store and she explained to me that the stuff made in USA is sometimes better quality since the US has much stricter quality control than other countries. For example they have to check every single bag that gets made, and in France or Spain they only have to check one from each batch of bags. So now I actually prefer my LV made in USA if it's an option. :)

when I went to get my Coussin bag I so wanted one that said made in France but all they had was USA, I was sooo bummed. Well maybe when I got to buy another I will be able to find a France one!

Just want to mention I have a great SA at LV that is super helpful and knowledgeable. She told me the stuff made in USA is sometimes better quality since the US has a much more strict quality control than France and Spain. In France and Spain the only have to check one bath of items made, not each bag. In the USA, they check each and every item. So, now I almost prefer my LV to be made in USA, but really I have no preferance.

I dont trust LV SA. It's convenient for them to say MIUSA is better, that's what they sell, that's what they have. They're starting to sound like shady like car salesman's pitch, imo. I guess Ihave yet to meet a good LV SA
