Preference for LV made in France/USA/Spain...??

All of my stuff is made in France except for Azur Pochette, Mono ZCP, and Mono Cles ...I'm in Canada and I very rarely see made in USA stuff, it's always France and Spain, which seems kinda weird to me considering that USA is right under us ..I won't complain though, I'd prefer all my bags to be made in France ...maybe that's why I never use my Pochette lol?

Edit: My SA told me SLGs were 99% always made in Spain, in our store anyway, so when I purchased my Damier pochette wallet 3 weeks ago and saw that it was made in France, it was like a bonus, I was pretty happy.

I compared 2 denim speedys, 1 made in france and 1 made in usa- (mine and my friend's) and the color is different. Made in france is bordering on darker shade of blue jean while Made in usa is lighter happier shade of blue jean. They were both new when I compared them

actually, that's less a thing about where it was produced. Denim is a more special material, all the SAs will confirm that each batch of Denim bags will differ a bit colorwise.

All of my LV's are made in the USA. I have ordered all of them from eLux and just get whatever they send, in my case, all made in USA. I am just now getting an LV boutique relatively near me although it has not opened yet. Since I have had no choice but to order from eLux, I have never had the option to pick France or anywhere else. I do have to say, though, that all of my bags have been perfect, I have no complaints.

I recently ordered a Monogram Speedy 30 from Elux and it was made in France. I guess I got REALLY lucky!!!

I prefer my LV's to be made in France and so far, all 5 of my:smile1: bags are.

I think there's no point to worry, I have bags from all over although most of mine have been from France just by chance. I have one USA, one Spain, and rest from France. The quality is PERFECT. I actually like the USA tag. It makes me proud for some reason to finally have something nice made here...

Actually, Louis Vuitton items that are made in different countries have slight differences, especially in material.

Made in France - the LV monogram logos have a much more pronounced green-ish tint, the canvas is thicker and stronger, overall not as supple as newer bags (like Galliera) but definitely more sturdy.

Made in Spain - the LV monogram logos are golden caramel-colored , no green tint at all .. the canvas is thinner, which creates the more "supple" and "luxurious" effect. Although it does look nicer / more beautiful , it is slightly weaker than "Made in France" items . At least, in my experience.

I don't have any items made in the USA, but I much prefer the ones from France, although the ones from Spain "look nicer"

Let's not forget too that Spain produces some of the best leather goods around; it is this very reason why it doesn't surprise me LV chose Spain to build a majority of their SLGs.

AGREE, the best small accessories I have seen were made in Spain. My SA told me the Spain factory specializes in the smaller pieces. I know the bracelets and wallets to me seem better made than from France and USA at least with todays current releases. I think several years ago one looked identical to the other, but quite frankly I do see differences now. I recently purchased a damier 30 speedy and the first one had a bad defect in the handle (the factory used a dye or polish to try and cover it up) then they found a second one from France and the zipper teeth had a problem and the zipper would not go the last inch and a half to the end! So the third one I got was made in USA and its perfect! So it does depend, I guess they have superior craftspeople and not so in each factory. Sometimes when I come across a defect, for some reason I picture in my head that a trainee must have produced the item, I don't know why I think this, perhaps I am trying to find an excuse since years ago LV was known for perfection!

mentally, I understand that made in the US and made in France aren't much different b/c I am sure that LV has QC but I only buy "Made in France". All of my bags are including Galliera. I think LV is getting a great deal on bags made locally (US): they don't have to pay nearly the same shipping costs and don't have to pay the same medical benefits that workers enjoy in France. Then why is the cost of the bags made in the US is the same as made in France?
