My new Prada bn1713 has suede linnig and made in China tag hidden neoar the tag with the number.They've been selling that as "suede-leather" since it came out a few years ago, but it's actually moleskin (fabric made to resemble suede). Yet another bit of deception on Prada's part. Kind of like the "pleather lining" they were marketing as "real leather lining" business.

I bought a Prada backpack recently. This is my first love of Prada ever since >10years ago and finally got it as a gift from DH. Just today been through the whole thread on my way home from work. My heart really beat skipping fast and I must agreed that the quality of Prada products had gone down these years. The first thing I reached home, I immediately dig out the label from the inner zip pocket. To my relief, it was made in Italy.

I have a bag (abt 1 yr old) that has the 'Made in Italy' tag, but the leather piece that holds the metal ring to the shoulder strap is frayed, and how can this happen if it is really leather?? Actually, the bag doesn't smell leather but rubber/synthetic!! =((

I would send the bag back to boutique. They can do something I hope, if you have the authenticity card.
Cole Haan used to have shoes made in Italy but since Nike bought them out, everything is made in China and all the creativity and quality is gone. When will they realize we will pay more for better quality!

My black nylon cosmetic pouch from the Prada outlet in sawgrass mills is 'made in China.'
(they took great pains to hide label, I almost gave up looking for it).
My other leather and nylon bags that were 'made in Italy' were either purchased from a Prada boutique or Saks Fifth Ave.
