I don't like this whole topic

favorable that I can't find this made in .. tag in my bag .. that's really weird .. that bothers me ..:wondering

I just received my bag that I ordered from the Prada website, so I know in my heart the bag's legit, but I can't find my *Made In* tag either. I've looked everywhere! The only thing I find is the little white tag with a number and a black tag with NOTHING. Help!

Looks like I'll be sending mine back. If I wanted a bag without a *made in* tag, I'd buy it at Walmart. Grrrrr........

If it was a black fabric tag that was inside the inside zippered pocket, then it's very likely that the Made in China portion was cut off of it. Prada knows its customers don't want China made Italian bags, so they're going to great lengths to hide it. This kind of deception makes my blood boil.

Oh
my
gawd, that's exactly what it is!! :pout:
It's a black tag and it has been cut! I even took it outside in the sunlight and went through it with a fine tooth comb to make sure I didn't overlook something.
I emailed Prada.com and told them I was sending it back and why. I even asked them the reason why there was no *Made In* tag and got no response...just a link to my shipping label.

I'm so thankful for this forum or else I would have had NO freakin' idea!!
Thank you for your help!!
Off to find a different brand to get addicted to now......:D

(I even ordered specifically from Prada.com to avoid this problem! Total waste of my time!)

In spite of my screen name here (which was chosen long before all the Prada sneakiness began), I've sworn off the line as well. Oh, I don't mind going with the occasional vintage Prada, but I've fallen back in love with Lauren by Ralph Lauren and Cole Haan bags (made in China, but priced accordingly and no "made in" tag searches required) My wallet is much happier, too. :smile1:

I swear, I was so excited about getting this new bag that now it's turned me off on the whole brand. I have a couple of others coming this afternoon and I've already decided they're going back, regardless of what the tag says.
Am I crazy or what?!? I'm totally disappointed.

I'm so confused about this! I am a long time Prada fan with about 7 bags. I just recently purchased a red saffiano at Neimans and my SA assured me these are all rumors and authentic Prada bags are Made in Italy.. she even showed me the Made in Italy tags on many of the bags in the shop! I have attached a photo of my Prada with the black tag with the Made In Italy on it.
If this is true, what stores are selling these Made in China bags? I have gone through the whole thread and only saw one bought from ebay? It seems to me everyone is getting all riled up with concrete info! Thanks everyone!!!

I've seen the Made in China Prada bags with my own eyes, and it was verified by a well known and respected Prada SA that Prada DOES have a factory in China making bags. That's enough for me.

A Neiman's SA is trying to sell you a bag and make commission. Most SAs don't know anything about what they are selling, definitely not in terms of the degree of details even a Prada SA knows (and that isn't always much more). If you want to keep forking your money over to Prada, certainly feel free to do so. No one is trying to stop you. This is, however, an attempt to educate Prada shoppers about what your hard earned dollars are getting you.

Where did you see these Made in China bags? I just want to know what stores are actually selling these because that hasn't been answered. This way I will know where to go and not go to get a real Made in Italy one. Thanks!

For the record, I never saw a *Made in China* tag in any of my bags.

The bags I ordered from Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue had *Made in Italy* tags and the one that I wasn't in the least worried about came from Prada.com. The tag in that one didn't say *Made in China*, as a matter of fact, it didn't say anything!! There was a little white tag with a number on it, another little black tag that had the end snipped and NO WHERE on that tag did it say *Made in Anywhere!*
I'm about ready to give up on designer bags. Needless to say, my husband couldn't be happier!
