Was your mini neuf in taupe? Good to know the return process went smoothly but I’m still hesitant to order now with the quality issues. I really do like that bag though. We’ll see if I decide if it’s worth rolling the dice…
Chalk! I guess I wouldn’t rule out ever getting one again in a different colour, however with price increases and tax increases (in my country) the likelihood of this happening in the near future is not too high for now.

Hi guys, I thought I would share my review of the underrated Umi! Got it in Chalk and just wore it the whole day yesterday.

1. It’s so beautiful and comfortable under the arm. Happy that as a shoulder bag, it hangs low like my Tory Burch medium Flemming.

2. I wonder if people that are complaining about the zipper being not smooth is only pulling the leather piece. Still a two hands job, but pulling the ring it’s attached to instead makes a significant difference.

3. Against a stark white items, the Chalk color does look greyish, but in general I would say it’s like a dusty white. Looks really good and expensive with the GHW and against my wardrobe (I wear mostly nude/beige brown and whites).

And most importantly, it arrived perfectly no defect whatsoever despite the growing bad reviews in Polene’s quality ❤️

I was thinking to get a Tonca but looking how comfortable I am with Umi’s size, Tonca might be too small for me.

I had an Un Nano and I have to say Umi looks more lux while Un Nano feels very handmade to me, like sime Furla designs.

Can’t wait for my Neuf to arrive :)

The zipper of my Dix was a bit hard to pull at first, too. It softened with time. But I like how sturdy and durable it feels.
I thought about the Umi a bit. I had a very practical black bag that worked as a shoulder bag and crossbody bag and fit a ton, but it feel apart. The Umi would be a good replacement, I'm just not sure if I like the shape of it. I probably need to see it irl.
Love your outfit btw!

Thank u! Funny you said about another crossbody bag, because Umi reminded me of my elementary school bag. A nylon crossbody with adjustable strap that fits tons too. Umi is very practical yet very elegant, like a grown up version of my old bag

May I know what color and texture of Dix you have, and how long have you had it? Have you experienced leather peeling where the strap connects with the bag? Dix is still on my wishlist but afraid it’d be too small for me.

The lining on the inside of my new dix has the same issue! It is uneven and looks like they hastily cut it and just glued it in. It came in just yesterday and smells like glue on the inside as well.

So far the rest of the bag looks okay, but there is one thread that seems..loose and/or glued on. Picture attached. Do you guys think it's a defect that I should contact Polene about?

By the way I been on the forum for a while and reading all of your posts have been so helpful for me in purchasing bags
It is a flaw to me although not major to be fair (similar to my case - what bothered me most was the small cut on the glazing in front of the bag). In the end if you are not happy with it, I'd say email their CS asking for assessment and try to exchange it or whichever offered solution that works best for u. Hope all will be well

Thanks for sharing. I totally understand your point.
It’s like they say: If you don’t use it, it’s clutter.

I’ve recently sold another one of my bags and will possibly sell one more. I’d rather lose some money and reinvest what I do get in bags I will actually use.

I happen to absolutely love my Neuf Mini and it is my most worn bag during the week. I definitely want another one, and now that I have tried many of the bags that Polene offers, I know which ones actually work for me, so I can edit my collection accordingly.
Exactly as you say, it's also better for me to sell with a small loss than to have a cluttered wardrobe. Especially since I live in a rented apartment and moved quite frequently in past, the less you have, the better. Happy to hear you've found what's working for you from Polene and that your mini Neuf gets so much use!

I'm selling my Demellier Vancouver bag currently as I didn't like the quality for the price (the leather started peeling quite soon after purchase so I'm selling it for much less) and contrary to what I've said before, I'm now debating getting Un Nano despite selling it 3 years ago because I need a special occasion bag. I love the trio camel colour combination, it's so unique and it could work well for weddings, work receptions etc. I'll let the idea marinate for a bit since the price increase and quality issues curbed my Polene buying impulses haha.

Yes. Space is also an important reason. I dislike having to deal with a tight closet and I don't have unlimited space right now, so to me, having a bag I'm not using is a waste of valuable space. I like being able to see my bags and remember I have them.
I think with Polene, the investment is still modest enough, that we don't have to think about selling as a horrible loss. At least, this was the case with the previous prices.

The Numero Un Nano is a very unique and special bag, and one of my 2 favorites from Polene. It's the first one I saw, that made me like the brand, and the first one I owned. And it is a rather comfortable bag, if you're into flaps. I have 2 of those and will probably get at least one more in the future. I say go for it before Polene raises their prices even more.

Sure! My Dix is in the color camel, textured leather. I have it since August 2021 and it's been my most worn bag for the past 1.5 years. Where the bag connects with the strap the leather itself is completely fine, but the edge painting has started to rub off (only on the side of the bag, not on the strap). But you wouldn't see this when wearing the bag. And the textured leather is really very sturdy.

I love the size, how it looks on me, but it doesn't fit a lot.
