Sure! My Dix is in the color camel, textured leather. I have it since August 2021 and it's been my most worn bag for the past 1.5 years. Where the bag connects with the strap the leather itself is completely fine, but the edge painting has started to rub off (only on the side of the bag, not on the strap). But you wouldn't see this when wearing the bag. And the textured leather is really very sturdy.

I love the size, how it looks on me, but it doesn't fit a lot.

Ah that looks pretty fine to me! Ugh so tempted to geth the textured in black.

Tiny apartment renter here too so space is definitely a major player in my decision making. I want two more bags for now and that is where I’m stopping. Really need a new black bag and would love something in Polene’s taupe color for light summer outfits, just not sure which model yet. Love the look of the Huit Mini buuut not sure how I feel about the unremovable strap  I usually prefer to carry my bags top handle and this is definitely a bag I’d prefer that way!

This is more or less where I am at this point. I have a sense of which Polene bags will work for me, and would buy more of those. I also like the mini Neuf a lot, it’s the perfect size for what I need to carry when using a crossbody, and it proved quite durable on my international trip recently.

I just sold my regular Neuf in beige. The bag was gorgeous, held plenty, and I love the look of it. But - I didn’t love the color with my skin tone, and it ended up feeling bulky compared to what I prefer. I think I am also going to sell my regular Huit. As much as I love the color of that one, it is also bulkier than I like. Plus my husband doesn’t like it lol.
I totally get it. As much as we can love to look at these bags and appreciate them for their unique design and refined aesthetic, I think we must also think of our own needs. After a while, we have a better idea of which bags are actually practical for us and which are just to be admired from afar.

Some of these styles were an impulse purchase for many of us, and at the previous prices, it wasn't that big a deal to just try them out. But now, it has become harder to order them on a whim.

I think selling our Polenes is more about letting go of what didn't work for us, as we make space for other styles (or brands) that we know we'll get more use out of, and less about making a profit or even getting our investment back.
We've all been through this with other brands that are significantly more expensive and still decided to let go of what didn't work. Because even if they are affordable, having bags we won't use is truly a waste and an opportunity for those mold spores to have a feast.

Polene's Taupe is stunning and still on my list. Definitely an elegant neutral. And black is black. I mean, you can't go wrong with either of these.

It is a flaw to me although not major to be fair (similar to my case - what bothered me most was the small cut on the glazing in front of the bag). In the end if you are not happy with it, I'd say email their CS asking for assessment and try to exchange it or whichever offered solution that works best for u. Hope all will be well!
Thanks! I might try that.

Received my Polène Dix today and was pleasantly surprised! Indeed, I read some reviews here or on SM saying that the quality was not as good as it used to be but honestly I bought or try on 3000€ luxury handbags that didn’t look as good!
Nice leather smell, I can fit all my essential (I fit inside the same things as in my Celine Triomphe). Really pleased with my purchase so far!
Will wear it a couple of weeks/months and if I’m still thrilled I might bought it in another color!

Has anyone chosen to select no signature required with DHL for delivery of your Polene bag? Did you have any issues with that? Might have to opt for that but wanted to see if anyone had any issues receiving their packages when they selected no signature. Thanks!

I always choose to do a signature release. No issues for me, they always leave it where I direct them to. Don’t see why there would be an issue… unless you plan on not being home, then you risk someone stealing it and in that case you’d be SOL

Hi, I have had issues with DHL delivering a parcel ( fendi bag) to the wrong address. I think if it hadn’t been signed for it would have been harder to prove it was missing and get it back. They went back to the adresss where it was misdelivered and demanded it back. The people had opened it. But I did get it back.

After that experience I have never allowed any parcels to be left

I have with Polene, and many other purchases. Never any problems at all, but I do live in a very safe area.

Time for my own Polene wear story. Admittedly, I seem to be a lot harder on my bags than other people on this forum. Whatever the opposite of 'baby' your bags is, that's what I do. I grandpa my bags? Age my bags? Anyway, I have the Neuf regular size. I sometimes carry a lot, so it can be heavy. I carry by the handle or with the strap on the shoulder. I have worn it <20 times.

The two sides of the handle are sewn together and also maybe glued or something? Not sure about that last. I did notice previously that the stitching on the underside of the handle was not centered. I only noticed this because of this forum, as prior to this forum, it would have never occurred to me to scrutinize a bag in such a way. Though I noticed it, I really did not care. However, what is troubling is that the ... glue? ... or whatever is holding the two pieces of the handle together at the edge is coming undone. That is, the stitching does not go all the way from edge to edge. Where it is stitched, nothing is coming apart. But beyond the stitches, at the edges, it appears to be separating. In this picture you can see both that the stitching on the underside is not centered (meh) and that the edges are separating from one another (uh oh). This separation is not visible from the top, only when you turn the handle over. Maybe it's that the glazing from each half remains glued together, but then the leather is separating from the glazing? Hard for me to tell for sure what is happening.

I'm thinking it's probably not the best design to have a top handle that is joined with two pieces right at the point of the greatest strain, where someone will hold it. But then if you're going to do that, wouldn't it be better to have the stitching go all the way from end to end, to strengthen that join? Seems like it's a natural weak point that has poor reinforcement.

I will continue to use in the same way I've been using it and update if it gets worse, or actually comes apart. I won't be babying it, or putting less in it to avoid straining it, as I buy these things to serve me, not the other way around. If it gets worse or actually becomes unusable, then that is just what is going to happen. I'll post if it does.

The lining on the inside of my new dix has the same issue! It is uneven and looks like they hastily cut it and just glued it in. It came in just yesterday and smells like glue on the inside as well.

So far the rest of the bag looks okay, but there is one thread that seems..loose and/or glued on. Picture attached. Do you guys think it's a defect that I should contact Polene about?

By the way I been on the forum for a while and reading all of your posts have been so helpful for me in purchasing bags!

Did you also notice this scratch? I would worry more about that then the loose thread honestly.
