Lovely TPFers!

Wondering if any of you who owns the numero Dix Hobo can tell me if the strap is detachable? Since I own the smaller Numero Dix, I have this idea in mind to potentially use the longer strap with the Hobo (shall i decide to pull the trigger).

I'd love to have a bigger size but would like to have the option to crossbody it and Im afraid that the hobo strap will sit too high on me. Im not model-tall, around 170cm.

If the strap is interchangeable then that decides which color I should get for the hobo (my dix is in camel and neuf in taupe, so both strap colors would work).

I also feel that the Dix Hobo is such a classy beautiful bag but I couldn't find many posts on social media nor videos on it. Probably just a couple of vids and that's it. I think it deserves much more love & attention

Thanks a mill!
I own it and the strap is detachable, I am short (5') and curvy but the Hobo looks good anyway (just imo!)

Oh no... what a bummer.
i really want this mini neuf in camel but i am worried after seeing few people have this peeling problem with their camel mini neuf.. i have the black mini neuf and it seems perfect..

did you get a refund or a replacement? will you still get the camel mini neuf?
I got a refund, as I felt if I got another one I just would have to really baby it as I know now it’s prone to peeling as it was in more than one place on the bag!

I need help from my fellow Poleners.
Many of you have followed my Polene journey and I need some advice as to what to keep and what to maybe let go.
As much as I absolutely love and adore my Mini Huit in Fresh Almond, I have found that I have yet to wear it, since I got it a few months ago. It was such a lucky find, in a stunning, discontinued color but as much as I stare at it and drool over the color and design, I can't seem to pair with my outfits enough to actually wear it. :oh:

I don't know if I should maybe let it go and use the $ towards something I will actually use. And with the new pricing, I could try to get most of my money back since it's a sold out color (demand and supply).

Same thing goes for my Mini Un Nano in Tan. Stunning color but I find that I already have so many variations of nude-tan colors, that I end up using mostly my Neuf Mini in Camel, my YSLs in dark beige or taupe or Chloe in tan.

Should I let go of those 2 bags, or keep them because with the increasing demand, prices and popularity of Polene, I may so regret getting rid of them and they might become collector's items in the future?
It's not like I would be getting that much for them anyway, but they do add up if they will just sit in my closet. I paid almost $700 for both of these. Feedback much appreciated. Thank you, darlings.
If you still like them and you don't need the money, keep them. In a few years, Polene bags will be closer to 1k and then you can sell them.

I've received my Polène Cyme bag this morning. I checked it carefully after reading the reviews about peeling, and it's perfect on that side. Was a bit surprised that it doesn't have a leather smell but oh well.
It looks really nice and practical, is great as a work or travel bag I guess.

Is this color cognac? It looks so rich and classic! I have it in black but a fan of this color too  I actually find this bag doesn't fit as much due to the bottom being tapered/small. Thanks for sharing!

You make a great point. I can’t even count the bags I sold that then went up in price like that. It’s happening right now with some of the ones I’m deciding to pull.

And if I had endless space, I’d keep them all and sell them later, like you mention, but for some reason, I’m not good at holding on to things I don’t use. It gives me a kind of hoarding anxiety. I purge my closet constantly and opening up space actually makes me feel relief and less guilty for buying too much.

Plus, getting some funds back also helps to at least somewhat compensate for my shopaholic antics.

High five. I used to think that too (keeping to kiv sell later after price increases), until now I’ve gotten to the point where I literally don’t have enough cupboard space.
Good luck! <3

Exactly. I don't have actual space. I hate having my bags all mushed up in my closet shelves. I can't even see them and so I forget I have them.
I love feeling that sense of relief when I let go of something I know I won't wear and welcome something new. That gives me joy all over again.

I don't really collect bags to make money. And frankly, I've lost way more than I've ever made by buying/selling them over the years. So I see it as an expensive hobby but one that makes me forget about the stressful things in life.
I mean, all of us on here know exactly what I mean. :graucho:
Plus, I'm really wary of selling now (and more so if I make a profit) with these new IRS tax stipulations. Having to account for every item sold, looking for old receipts and having to pay tax twice (when you buy and when you sell) sounds like a nightmare to me.
