Lol lol their genitalia bursts into flames! I can't stop laughingI'm very sorry this happened. I hope that loser thief gets caught, their genitalia bursts into flames and all your items are recovered.
If this has already been mentioned before, I apologize. Get one of those "nanny cams", a teddy bear with a hidden camera and catch them in the act, if they do this again.
You were smart to post this. This thread is getting a lot of visibility. Best of luck!!! [emoji173]️
These are good tips. I always save the receipts and any info that comes with it, but haven't thought about writing down the date codes, wear, or if they'd been repaired and when. Sorry you're having to go through this violation and wishing you the best and that the evil thief gets caught and prosecuted.I've received several compliments and comments about the documentation of my collection, both here and in person. Basically what would happen is that after each purchase or gift I would write down the date, the location of purchase (if it was a gift then where the person purchased it), the name of the bag/item, a brief description such as the colour or canvas print, and lastly the date code. Over the course of using that item I would write down any noticeable traits as they appeared such as wrinkling, staining, scuffs, odours, etc. as well as dates that the item was sent for repair and what the repair was for - essentially the item's life history. After each use it only took a couple of seconds to give my things a once over and only a few seconds more to jot down a note if needed. This documentation has been useful any time I've decided to sell (think of it as an auto report, but for purses) or in the case of recent events where I was agitated I wouldn't have been able to tell you what I had for breakfast that morning let alone describe what was missing. It only takes a little bit of time to do this and even less time to maintain it, but it has been a tremendous help to me and the police.
The police called me this evening to let me know they made an arrest. Apparently the individual, an employee of the company who owns and manages the apartment complex I live in, was found with one of my bags in their possession. They won't tell me who it is right now nor will they tell me which one of my bags was recovered.
