I'm so sorry this happened! That's horrible! I remember when I was a kid, and someone broke into our parents home. I felt very angry and violated. They even stole all my worn shoes and my little brothers piggy bank! Who does that??!!

Material things can be replace but that sense of security can't. Sorry you had to go through this OP. Will keep an eye on eBay for your goods. Please keep us updated. sending good vibes your way!

Thank you everyone for your support, it really does mean a lot to me right now. There are surveillance cameras posted in multiple locations throughout the apartment complexes, including the front and back doors of my tower, and the police will be reviewing the footage and doing their thing. Right now I'm staying home from classes, since I don't feel comfortable leaving my home unattended, and am waiting for my parents to arrive later this afternoon. My dad can then stay here while me and my mom go to LV to have most of my receipts reprinted and then to the insurance company.
I have a very good idea who the thief is - based on the recent timeline/events, their interest in my purses in prior conversations, how they did it, and why none of my neighbours noticed - but I'm also wondering why didn't they take my other valuable things?
I am so so sorry this happened to you...it would be such a violation of trust and professionalism if it was someone at your complex. They may not have taken the electronics thinking they may be more traceable or harder to sell than purses. Have you talked to management at your complex? I hope they catch the person soon!!!! I'm very glad you were not hurt although I know emotionally this is scary!

I am so sorry this happened. It's so disgusting how some think they have the right to help themselves to others belongings. I will definitely search around the web for any bag sightings of your bags.

SO sorry for your shock and loss of security. Take care of yourself - don't let someone else make you falter, either in your physical or your psychological health. I hope you and the police get the evidence gathered very quickly. How the hell did the thief carry away all those items and without being seen?

I sounds like you've done everything you can at this point. I am going to take your advice and photograph and document my collection.

If anyone has any app suggestions, I'd be all over it.

If you don't have any cameras in your home, Nest makes a very handy one and it only costs $200 to purchase. I have one sitting on a mounted stereo speaker in my living room.

Sorry this happened to you. I live in an apartment building and every time a worker comes in to fix something I get a uneasy feeling when/if they see my collection.

I am so very sorry this happened to you! I hope they find who did it and that you get your belongings back. What an awful feeling to have someone in your home taking your things.

How terrible! I'm so sorry!!

I'm in Medicine Hat. I'll keep an eye out down here too. I feel awful for you.
Thank you everyone for your support and for taking the time out of your busy lives to help me look online. I just wanted to update and let everyone know that I've followed up with the police this afternoon and that they've watched the surveillance footage, found someone of interest, and have spoken to a witness. They won't tell me more than that until the investigation progresses further.

OMG! This makes my blood boil!! I so, so sorry this happened to you! They knew exactly what to take and what not to! :bagslap: Insider for sure! :nogood: I will keep an eye out on the ATLV Thread if any come up for an Authentication. God Bless Miss Krys! :hugs:

Aww, so sorry this happened to you, that's absolutely awful, it has to be someone who knows you and where you store your gems, hopefully they catch them... if not hopefully insurance covers a new collection..

I am so sorry that you were robbed and now emotionally you have to go through the feelings of being violated and unsafe in your home. I am happy to hear the police are taking this seriously and have already viewed the security tape and found more to follow up with. What is strange that another person could somehow have a key to get in your place so easily.

My best friend was robbed when she got her first place after her divorce and the items taken did not really matter to her because insurance covered it but the feeling of not being safe lasted for many months so know it is normal for you to have a wide range of emotions hitting you when you least expect it. She ended up putting expensive security locks on her front door and bedroom along with deadbolts too. She said she slept better having her bedroom locked like this and she got a dog a few weeks after her robbery.

I hope having your parents for the weekend can offer you some well needed support and comfort. Can your dad change the locks himself and nobody but your parents and maybe boyfriend haveing an extra set of keys? Keys on a keychain can be taken or copied if there is a group of people sharing dorm rooms or apartments. Think of how people throw their keys around and are not in the room with them all the time. My friends boyfriend was a lawyer and he told her never to have her house key on a key chain when she took her car for repairs or even left with a valet and I think this is excellent advice.

Wishing you the best. Hopefully the police can follow up quickly and your bags will be recovered.

I'm so sorry to hear what has happened to your collection! I hope some positive results come soon! It breaks my heart to read all the items taken... so many years of collecting!

Sorry to hear your terrible experience. I know how that feels...
Glad you did not get physically hurt or something.
Hope police could catch the thieves.
And I hope you could still find peace and security in your home.

We also had our house broken-into last year, thieves did not take any of our tech stuff. They took money, all my jewelry and heirloom jewelry from my grandmother and my mom ( worth a fortune) and all my LV mono bags and Burberry checks bags (left all leather bags and DE LV), specialized bikes, golf bags with sets. The police said the thieves were pros and knew what to take. They left the costume jewelry took only the ones with much value. Unfortunately our insurance did not cover all the jewelry... just $2k
We never got over the lost or our peace of mind and feeling of security,.. we decided to sell our home and moved this year.
