Oh my!!
I am so sorry this happened to you; however I am happy it didn't happen while you were at home. It makes me so mad and angry the low-life that did this to you is out there; possibly selling all your stuff. I really hope they catch this low-life. I am glad you at least gave the police a lead as who you think it may be. I also hope they check to see if there are cameras around in your area; possibly catching a glimpse of the perpetrator.
But I would like to add kudos to your mom/aunt for teaching you well  (by noting all the stuff you have); and are also glad you had insurance. Still, as you mentioned, many items are irreplaceable due to sentimental value.
Yes, please keep us up-to-date! I really hope they catch this piece of crap and throw this low-life in jail and that he/she's prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!!
Good luck! I wish you well.

This is the saddest thing in the world because it's so hard to find the same bags. It will just never be the same. I really hope they find and prosecute whoever did this. At the same time, how the hell did someone manage to take all of those items without being questioned? Didn't someone see them? Anyone? I'm sure if your in a building you have that one nosey neighbor.

Oh Mrs. Kriss, that is terrible! I treasure my bags more than my jewelry, so I know how you must be feeling. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I hope you find the thief and get all your bags back.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. I hope that the thief is caught. But most importantly, that you can move on from this. This sort of thing is so violating. Sending good thoughts.

So sorry to hear of your terrible experience [emoji22] The feeling of having your personal space violated is not pleasant at all.

I do hope that the police are able to apprehend the perpetrator and in the best case recover your precious stolen possessions.

All the best and please keep us posted.

oh you poor thing. Sending good wishes.

The thief, carrying a very large bag or suitcase could have been caught on a surveillance camera. Check to see if there are any that are mounted in the area of your apt. building. Hope they get the culprit!

This is terrible! I'm so sorry this happened to you:sad: (((Huge hugs)))

I am so sorry! That is so horrible. I really hope your situation will be solved.

So sorry to hear this has happened. It's awful. But I hope it can be found, especially with all the fine details you have provided to them. Hats off to you for all your well keep records.

Kudos to you for keeping such amazing records! I hope that your items are found and returned safely to you. :hugs:

What an ordeal, Miss Krys. Very sorry you have to go through this, and I echo others who applaud your record keeping. It sure sounds like the thief knew what they wanted (and where to get it) if they walked away without your pcs and jewelry. Hope these things return to you and that the person who did this is apprehended quickly. ☹️️

Thank you everyone for your support, it really does mean a lot to me right now. There are surveillance cameras posted in multiple locations throughout the apartment complexes, including the front and back doors of my tower, and the police will be reviewing the footage and doing their thing. Right now I'm staying home from classes, since I don't feel comfortable leaving my home unattended, and am waiting for my parents to arrive later this afternoon. My dad can then stay here while me and my mom go to LV to have most of my receipts reprinted and then to the insurance company.
I have a very good idea who the thief is - based on the recent timeline/events, their interest in my purses in prior conversations, how they did it, and why none of my neighbours noticed - but I'm also wondering why didn't they take my other valuable things?

I am so sorry this happened to you! I can't imagine the violation you must feel.
I'd be angry and upset if anyone broke into my home unwelcome even if they just
trashed the place, never mind stole my belongings. I hope they catch whoever did this
and you're able to recover your things. If not, at least you weren't physically harmed and are OK
in that respect. You will always have the memories those material things represented. No one can
take that away from you.

Maybe they thought that police will not be so active if they only take used purses? Or they just take them to use not for selling for money? I would go totaly insane if someone did it to me, very sorry for you.

Once again I'm very sorry. Ever since I read your story, I've tried looking on eBay and craigslist to no avail. Unfortunately it's like finding a needle in a haystack looking on eBay for your stuff.
I don't know if it's a good idea but have you tried mentioning this on facebook? I'm not on facebook so I don't know how it works. But maybe you can get some leads.
Sometimes if you offer a reward (that's if you're in a position to do so); people will talk.
Again, I wish you the best.

This is very true and echoes several of my own posts in the past. Once the shock and emotions of the theft wear off I'll be able to reorganize my thoughts and put things in perspective but, at least for now, it's still raw. It's an unpleasant sensation when you've had something for so long suddenly stripped from you in a second.

Maybe they thought that police will not be so active if they only take used purses? Or they just take them to use not for selling for money? I would go totaly insane if someone did it to me, very sorry for you.
It's plausible but I'm wondering if it's because they think that there's no way to tell these bags apart and making it harder to prove they were stolen. Electronics usually have passwords and other anti-theft measures - mine are no exception - and jewellery tends to be personalized and easier to identify, but clothing and purses are a lot harder.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to help me look online! I'm truly grateful for your efforts:hugs:

I am so sorry this happened. It's so disgusting how some think they have the right to help themselves to others belongings. I will definitely search around the web for any bag sightings of your bags.

SO sorry for your shock and loss of security. Take care of yourself - don't let someone else make you falter, either in your physical or your psychological health. I hope you and the police get the evidence gathered very quickly. How the hell did the thief carry away all those items and without being seen?

I sounds like you've done everything you can at this point. I am going to take your advice and photograph and document my collection.

If anyone has any app suggestions, I'd be all over it.

If you don't have any cameras in your home, Nest makes a very handy one and it only costs $200 to purchase. I have one sitting on a mounted stereo speaker in my living room.

I am so very sorry this happened to you! I hope they find who did it and that you get your belongings back. What an awful feeling to have someone in your home taking your things.
