I'm curious, after the recovery of your bags, did the insurance company make you pay them back? I know you said you went out and were able to repurchase all New bags to replace your lost ones, do you now have doubles of everything?

Probably not because you can't accept the insurance money if the items are recovered. That would be fraud.
This is incorrect. What happened was that only 3 bags and a charm were recovered; everything else was missing and stated as have been sold by the thief. My insurance company did come through on their end of the deal - the specifics of the repayment are for me to know only, but they were generous - however, the repayment was delayed pending on the police report. When it came time for me to be compensated the insurance company was already aware of what I was able to get back and only calculated what was lost, so no, no fraud occurred. As for rebuilding my collection, again no, I didn't go out and repurchase everything. The only bag I did get was a mon mono Keepall 50, as more of a gesture to insurance than anything else, and my parents gifted me the matching NF GM.
My collection consists of a Delightful, Clemence wallet, Pochette Accessories, DE cles (I was wearing these the day of the theft), Speedy 30, Shopping Sac, Bijoux Flocon charm, MK Multifunctional Tote (these were recovered), Keepall 50, NF GM, and a DA cles (these are new).
