Thank youI would be furious too & feel totally unsafe and violated! And so what if they're only material goods? You're still allowed to have your feelings and don't let anyone tell you differently.
Hugs to you darling.

Thank youI think I'm going to stay home tomorrow since I don't feel comfortable leaving my place unattended right now.
I'm so sorry this happened to you.Thank you for your support. I've passed along this information to the police and will contact the LV store in my city tomorrow morning to have them print off copies of my receipts for insurance purposes. Thankfully there's a police station located in the large apartment complex, almost a small town in itself, where I live and I don't think the cops will just brush this case off.
Thank you for your support. No, unfortunately I pay for all of my purchases with cash/debit and it has been well over a year since my last addition. Luckily my purses are covered by insurance but it's still a bitter blow since they all had such strong sentimental value, especially my Speedy that I've had since I was 11.
I live in a large apartment complex that has its own police station, so with any luck this won't be simply brushed under the rug. I have a good idea who is responsible and there's security cameras covering both the front and back doors of my particular apartment tower.Words can not even express... I am so sorry that someone violated your home and took your collection. Hopefully the police will wrap this up quickly and you will get your items back safe and sound.
That particular Speedy means so much to me and there's no way it could just be replaced with a new one. Right now I can secure my apartment from the inside with a deadbolt lock on the front door in addition to the sliding chain lock, the balcony door has a stiff double-pinch mechanism (designed to be kid-resistant) and I'm up on the 5th floor, and my windows also have double-pinch locks. When I left this morning my apartment was sealed tight and I ALWAYS double check my front door before leaving - today was no exception - but when I got home the front door was unlocked. No signs of forced entry, the windows and balcony door were untouched, but the thief had unlocked my front door and left it that way...I'm so sorry this happened to you.Especially your Speedy! Please still be careful, especially with re-securing your apartment. Take care!
Right now I'm planning to stay home tomorrow (and a few days after that I'm sure) since I don't feel safe leaving my apartment unattended and my boyfriend is staying the night. Tomorrow afternoon my parents are coming up and planning to stay the weekend.Sorry to read about your recent experience. Knowing that someone has violated your space is just so unsettling and I hope you have the support of family and friends right now.
The chance to recover the stollen items is slim, but you never know. So keep looking everywhere and make sure the people you are suspecting get thoroughly investigated.
Hopefully your insurance company will be able to provide a fair compensation. Keep us updated.
I've contacted the pawn shops in my area, as well boutiques specializing in pre-loved luxury goods and even the local LV store, and supplied them with the information that I listed here in case the thief tries to offload my things or ask for an authentication. So sorry to hear about your collection. That's terrible. If you haven't already, check your local pawn shops to see if they have purchased any of the items.

Insurance policies are very similar between our countries (I lived in Australia for a while so I know this for a fact) and thankfully my purses are covered by my particular policy. Even if I had my locks changed I don't think it would do any good if the thief is the person I suspect. This is awful! I'm so sorry this has happened to you and also angry for you! It sounds as though it might be someone with a key?
I'm not sure how insurance policies work in Canada (Aussie) but I do know here that some policies will pay for all of your locks to be changed over. I would do that asap.
Also, is it worth sending out an email to any luxury consignment stores that the person might try to sell these bags to? You could give the police details for the store to contact.
