I'm sorry to hear. I really hope police is fast enough to find out the thieves.
I think that it's only one person, especially since they had the means to unlock my front door, and they were very specific in what they were after. They ignored the other valuables sitting in plain sight but went straight for my hidden purses...

I'm so sorry to hear this. It definitely sounds like someone who has been in your apartment or knows where you keep things and was after something very specific. Especially considering the MacBook and other items weren't taken. I truly hope you get your items back and they get caught!

Do you think that is someone you know? I still remember the link you shared about the woman who posted everything and very popular here, then they still all of her Birkins. But when I bought a new bag, I can't stop sharing with people here. I understand how you feel.

My friends are ruled out, especially since they don't have keys, and the 2 spare sets are with my bf and parents - neither of which would steal from me either. I do believe the thief has the key though.

Right now I'm feeling a hurricane of emotions. Anger is there of course, also sadness, but the biggest ones seem to be indignant and violated - it makes me beyond furious that someone would feel entitled to break into my home, a place were I should feel safe and secure, and steal some of my most precious possessions. I know they're only material goods, that insurance can cover them, that I should be grateful I didn't get hurt, etc. but those purses had incredible sentimental value all the same - whether they were a gift from family, some now deceased, or to mark a momentous occasion in my life - and it's a particularly hard blow since I'm a student. :crybaby:

I live around the Edmonton area. I will keep my eyes peeled. I'm so sorry that this happened to you.

I can only imagine how violated you must feel right now. I'm so sorry this happened to you and I hope the police are able to catch who did this.

Thank you, it really means a lot to have everyone's support. As I've already mentioned the purses and SLGs are just material objects at the end of the day, but what's really rattled me is the feeling of being violated with such apparent ease in a space that should be safe and secure at all times. You really don't know what you have until you lose it, only then can you truly appreciate it - whether it be a possession, a loved one, or your health.
