I haven't tried Amber Extreme, but L'eau d'Ambre is a soft, cozy amber on me. I wear it on days when I want something cozy and comforting. When I want a richer amber scent, I wear Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan.I haven't tried Drole de Rose, but I'm eyeing a bottle on mercari right now. I haven't tried any of the others you mentioned. Not sure how similar it is to L'eau d'Ambre, but I do have a sample of Amber Extreme. I tried to wear it a couple of days ago and I had to wash it off. The drydown was 100% incense on me.I don't know what is up, but my nose or my chemistry or something has changed the last few years. Maybe it's because I'm getting older. I used to love incense. I even had a hard time wearing my vintage Jicky the other dayI've used Jicky off and on for 20 years!
Sorry to hear about Jicky. In addition to age, I think other factors like weather or perhaps even diet affect our reaction to fragrances. Maybe just put it away and try after a few months. I've also found that dabbing a small bit versus spraying from a big spray bottle improves my tolerance/ability to wear challenging notes that might be too intense when sprayed.
Some online perfume groups and forums have sell or swap options. You could check those out. I haven't used any of them though, so not sure how they work. Good luck!Where/how do you sell your unused perfumes? I tried listing on eBay but being in Europe with shipping + selling fees makes it too costly..
