I'm all over the place. I like florientals and clean laundry smells. I love dirty green botanicals. I also like weird obnoxious projection beasts that others shy away from. Especially the woody/incense masculine ones.

Last night I stopped in to Ulta and decided to test a couple rose fragrances. Dolce & Gabbana – Dolce Rose. Gucci – Guilty Absolute por Femme. I didn’t like Dolce Garden, but love Dolce Rose. It’s going on my Christmas wish list. Truly lovely scent! Lasted nicely as well. The Gucci was just meh. Not bad at all, but didn’t like it nearly as much as the Dolce Rose.

Have you ever tried Fracas, an oldie but goodie tuberose scent.

I love citrusy floral scents.
I just got gifted a Santa Maria Novella pomegranate cologne for my bday this month. Does anyone own/have/tried it? Not sure if I should try or regift as my mum is eyeing it. I lived in Florence for 2 years and had been to their flagship so many times, bought skincare and potpourri but never tried the fragrances as I was not into it then.

I am a fan of Santa Maria Novella Melograno fragrance as well as their body soap & especially
the terra cotta balls.. The scent is distinctive & beautiful & sure either yourself or your mum
will not be disappointed

Thank you! It sounds wonderful!
I’ve decided not to open it and to give it to her - she’s very excited, it makes me happy

Any scents that seemed outside your usual Comfort Zone that you tried and fell in love with? Just happened to me. :girlsigh:

Couldn't resist trying my sample of L'Heure Verte by Kilian

Love this! I've been considering trying an absinthe scent (they are out of my comfort zone, but I was curious), and the Fragrantica review made me decide this was the one. Figured I'd satisfy my curiosity, and be done with it. That review describes the scent so much better than I ever could, so I'll refer you to it for details. Great reminder to try scents out of my comfort zone. Not an everyday or work scent, but relaxing at home this will be a delightful change from my usual scents. Yeah, I'm getting a full bottle...

Today I tested my sampel of Oriana by Parfums de Marly. The musk smells really strong to me, followed by the citrus notes. I was hoping the marshmallow, whipped cream, and raspberry would be the stronger notes.

I think the liquors line from Kilian is pretty overrated. I like Angels' Share the most, though I'm not crazy about any of them. There are much better boozy fragrances elsewhere in that house.

I don't drink, so surprised I even like one boozy fragrance. Normally a booze note is an instant turn off for me. It's the idea and history of absinthe that interests me, not booze in general.

I mean, whether or not they have anything at all to do with booze doesn't really matter to me, as boozy notes can go either way. The liquors line just doesn't have enough depth or presence to maintain much interest for me.
