Ok my favourites so far have been:

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
YSL Mon Paris (not the coture one the original)
Givenchy L'Interdit

My birthday is this week and hubby just got me some Versace Eros Eau de Parfum and the body lotion, and they threw in a gift with purchase of a set of 3 purse size atomizers and a gold colored case for them. I now have to add Eros as well!

All of them different scent notes, and wear as my mood changes :)

Finally managed to sniff Love by Chopard en Rose de Caroline by Chopard.

2 rose-y scents, one nose behind these scents, 3 times price difference and it is obviously why one is more expensive than the other one

Yesterday I was in Zurich to pick up my ordered Kadine. The bottle is numbered. It was a blind buy, but the scent is divine. Finally Guerlain, not just by Guerlain. I skipped Arome Fol last year, because I wasn't impressed, didn't give her a second chance. Now - a little bit regret, I finished the sample and the scent seemed to be very beautiful.

Kadine sounds lovely. If it's a limited edition, I don't know if I will get to sniff it before it gets sold out.
The layout of the new bottles is so inviting! It looks like they have one or two bottles in a smaller size -- I see one on the top shelf, to the left. I would be interested in a smaller size of these fragrances.

As summer winds down, I'm wondering what fragrances everyone has been enjoying lately, or perhaps looking forward to wearing as the weather cools down. For me it has been a vintage summer. I really went down the vintage fragrance rabbit hole, and have a few additions to my collection as a result.

I'm not quite sure what suddenly triggered this interest. Perhaps it was reading a vintage novel, in which the girl at a party talks about her perfume -- L'Heure Attendue -- after receiving admiring comments. I had never heard of this scent before and went exploring for information. Or perhaps, it was wearing Mitsouko (the current version), and feeling a longing to smell the vintage extrait...

Anyway, it involved a fair bit of home-work, which included reading blogs about how to date perfume bottles and recognize differences based on packaging, batch numbers and such like. I think it's fair to say that I have pretty much spent my perfume budget for this year (and possibly next year as well, lol) on this exploration, and it's time to wind down. Also, I am missing many of the more current scents in my collection that have not had much attention paid to them this summer. So I am looking forward to wearing them again, while also enjoying the new additions to my collection in the upcoming months.

Over the summer I loved my citrus Orange Sanguine by Atelier Cologne, the juicy scent Hawaiian Ruby Guava, and Flower of Immortality by Kilian is a nice summer floral. Chanel CoCo Mademoiselle L'Eau Privee is lovely on a quiet summer evening. I have a few I think will be great for fall: Armani Code for Women, Woman in Gold by Kilian, Macarons by Kyse. Dior's Hypnotic Poison is a lovely fall scent. I love the mix of layering Sweet Vanilla by Montale with Raspberry by Demeter. I used a bit more raspberry in summer, and think I'll use a bit more vanilla for fall. I broke my rule against celebrity scents and bought a small bottle of Fancy by Jessica Simpson, having read some reviews that it's a great caramel scent. If it is, I think it will be great for fall.

I've tried a few from Pacifica, and remember liking their Nerola Orange Blossom and the Fig scent, but they might have been discontinued now. I am not familiar with Hawaiian Ruby Guava (I do however enjoy eating guava.) Hypnotic Poison is nicely suited for cooler weather, I agree. I have the EDP version which is a very rich, dense fragrance. I must give it a few wears this winter. Good luck with your blind buy. I hope you will enjoy it this fall and beyond.

Thanks! Sounds like you had an interesting, and informative (if also expensive) trip down the vintage rabbit hole this summer. Any of your new additions that you're especially looking forward to?

I haven't gotten to try the Hypnotic Poison EDP. Enjoy! With how good the EDT is, I'm sure the EDP is even better.

I'll have to see if the Pacifica Nerola and Fig scents are still around. I'd suggest skipping their Tuscan Blood Orange. Just... meh. The first scent I've smelled that I'd call boring.

Regarding the new additions, honestly, I'm excited to wear them all! With some of them, I just got older versions of scents I already have and love, like some of the Guerlain and Chanel classics.

Not all are vintage -- for instance, Chanel No. 19 extrait from Chanel, and one of the last bottles of current Vol de Nuit extrait in the propeller bottle from the store (I hope they are not phasing out that lovely bottle.)

Some additions were just perfumes I remembered other family members wearing, like Balenciaga Quadrille and Caleche; so kind of nostalgic reasons behind the purchase. I will probably post pictures as I go along. I have gotten lazy about posting pics, but here is one of Vol de Nuit.

How did I miss this thread? My favorite house is House of Sillage because of presentation and the fact that I love 90% of their releases. Next is the nose of Paolo Terenzi I enjoy a wide spectrum of fragrances and tend to lean towards clean gourmands mixed with fruity, nutty and unique but pleasant notes added in. Here is where one of my favorite houses - Tiziana Terenzi shines. I love Maison Lancome, Chanel and I am just getting in to Roja Dove. I also have a couple faves from Xerjoff. I have tried 7 so far... in love with 2, like 1, tolerate 1 and sold the other 3 bottles. I have also been s. with favorite fragrance house at the moment is House of Sillage.

Has anyone gotten the personalized charms for the new Miss Dior EDP? I'll be purchasing a bottle as my wedding scent and thought it'd be cute to get it personalized with our initials... I mean, when else will I have an excuse to be this extra??

The only thing that I'm struggling with is that it's an extra $24+ which is a lot for the sake of that one accessories flat lay photo that no one cares about. Wondering if I could use the charms for a necklace or something later? Thoughts? :-s

Thought it might be nice to have a Thread for us perfume lovers to chat about our favorite scents. To get us started...
What are you favorite types of perfumes? For me it's gourmands, with florals second.
Any favorite perfume design houses, or any you think are overrated? Or do you care more about the Nose who created it, than the design house that released it? So far I'm liking Kilian, Kyse, Montale, and Nest. I haven't found a Tom Ford fragrance I like even a little, and don't understand the hype.
Everything that I like by him is discontinued or obscure. Try Santal Blush. He repackaged it but it used to come in a pretty frosted bottle. I squirt my garden of discontinued juices sparingly.
