Both. . . For different seasons. However, there used to be plenty of vintage 19 EDC floating around which was my favorite rendition. I got a a lot of green galbanum and iris which made it very very different (I’d test again for my post except im having massive allergies.

I have CdR extrait in the little tiny bottle from years ago (when it came with gardenia and Bois des iles). It’s mellowed into a smooth leather wood fragrance. Last time I wore it, I didn’t get a green note (trying to think if I’ve read a recent review that mentioned green, and I don’t think so.

Gosh, a response so soon, thank you.

Right you are. I've had CdR before but because of other fragrances I have I fancied something more summery. I will try both and maybe end-up with a vintage bottle of each.

If you want more summery, are you possibly a cristalle person? I can imagine a person with your taste in vintage gucci and RTW rocking cristalle. But, if you don’t mind my saying so, I can also imagine you (in my minds eye— I have a vivid imagination) in a trench coat or one of @BigAkoya ’s striped shirt and slim fitted Bermuda shorts, (Catherine deneuve maybe? ) wearing vintage chamade (the green perfume going a different, more sultry, (or maybe less Coco Chanel and more Sophia Loren), kind of way) could be way off base though lol

Pretty scary how you know me so well

OK, next visit to town I have some serious fragrance testing to do

Unfortunately, I'm less the hour-glass of Loren, more Deneuve. In terms of face I'm more Loren. I  both lady's styles but Loren slightly too romantic-dramatic and Deneuve off-duty, a bit classic - but maybe between the staid coordinated but glamorous 1960s CD of Belle du Jour (think Hermes Plume) and the laid back casual glamour of 1970s La Femme aux Bottes Rouges (think Hermes Garden Party with boots - although my boots are green python (and yes I bought 2 pairs! ), Def more Gucci than Chanel but I have a few jackets and 'bits'.

Don't even get me started on trench coats, I have Aquascutum, Burberry, Cordings (rubberised - water slides off it) and 2 Guccis. I bought a Gucci trench camel outside/orange lining 2016 and I still haven't worn it yet  .Since I live in the UK I can justify as many raincoats

Talk to me about Chanel No19 :graucho:

I know Chanel No5 is 100 this year but somehow it's not me.

Cuir de Russie ETP (which is very me) or No19?
@papertiger, I have not tried Cuir de Russie extrait/parfum, only the EDP. I love No. 19, and in the current formulations, it comes in EDT, parfum and EDP. The EDT is nice but light, so might be best to focus on EDP or parfum. There is also the No. 19 Poudre version.

If you can find vintage No. 19, that's great. Otherwise, I would suggest sampling and figuring out which one works best for you. Agree with @880 about Cristalle. It's available in EDT and there's also Cristalle Eau Verte in current formulations. I have samples somewhere and I need to try them again to refresh my memory. I will look for them tomorrow.

@Tasha1, I have micro mini bottles of Poison (Esprit de parfum) and Tendre Poison (parfum), but no Midnight Poison...I wish I could find some to try!

A question about parfum/extrait in dabber bottles for those of you that have them. How do you apply the parfum? Do you use the base of the lid (the stopper) and apply on skin? I'm seeing a few parfums being offered in spray format (my Orangers en Fleurs is an example) but a majority of extrait bottles still come in dabber bottles.

Krigler, who has any info? Very curious about some scents
They have a boutique here in Chicago. I've only tried a few, but they were very nice. There's one I've definitely got my eye on. The only issue is that they're pretty pricey, and I'm not entirely sure they're worth it. I'm gonna test more. Unfortunately, the boutique doesn't have samples for sale like the website, and the website is expensive.

I bought 1ml or 2 ml vials and as I hear, sorry we don't have samples, I give them mine and they fill them. It works perfectly and I have never got no.

I saw the sample kit prices online. Ridiculously priced.

on the inner top finger and after that on my neck or wrist.

There is a Krigler here in NYC at The Plaza Hotel (not sure if it has re-opened )
I have tried several of the fragrances Lieber Gustaav 14, Blue Escapade 24,
Lovely Patchouli 35 & Extraordinaire Camelia 09
The scents are interesting to me as well as the history of the company.
Who the scents were created for was of interest to me.
