Guerlain is launching a new collection in September, has released Kadine and L'art et matiere will be in new flacons and seemed reformulated.
Who has more info?
I think the L'Art et la Matiere bottles will be different. Larger, but also a price increase. There was a YouTube video about it a while back. I debated getting Cuir Beluga before the changes, but it was sold out on the Saks website and there were a few others left that I had not tested. Anyway, I have been focused on adding some vintages to my collection (which involves reading blogs on dating older bottles, etc), so I did not follow the news too closely. I will wait and see what they come up with. Will post here if I get any more info.

you are completely right
crazy price
today I got 2 samples from the new scents in that collection
Rose Cherie, rose rose rose--I love rose scents and I hardly say it is Guerlain
Santal Pao Rose, reformulated old scent I can't say it is Guerlain

but at least I am on the list for Kadine

Yes, I heard that it was quite a price hike. I believe the new bottles are lovely, but honestly, even a 75 ml bottle is too much perfume for me, given the size of my collection. I don't really need 100 to 200 ml bottles at this point.

Kadine sounds interesting! I will be waiting to hear your thoughts. I wonder if they will release it in the quadrilobe bottle.

I am placing an order for Chanel No. 19 extrait. It was on back-order for a while on the Chanel website and I got worried that it might get harder to find.

have you seen them? Other I am spoiled or old fashioned, I saw them without wow
the price is also ridiculous

me either, as it smells as en masse production
but I would buy a 5 ml decant, just to have it, because I love rose scents

yesterday I gave a second chance to Rose Cherie and Santal Pao Rose.
big big disappointment, sillage was weak, longevity was about 8 hours, but so monotonous

I bought Superstitious by Malle ( is discontinued), a POAL sibling, and I love POAL

Chanel is on my list as well

No, I did not see the bottles. I just heard someone mention them. I don't think the Saks in my state has them yet, but I will go check them out at some point. It's too bad that the rose scents were disappointing. I too love rose and was looking forward to trying them.

Frederic Malle's Superstitious is one I have been curious about. I read that it's similar to vintage Lanvin Arpege, and I have a bottle of Arpege, so I never did try Superstitious. Maybe I should have tried it, because the top notes on my vintage Arpege are off a little, and it would be nice to have a fresh bottle of something similar...

If you know Portrait of a Lady, it is her sibling

the new flacons

Thank you for sharing this -- it almost looks like an extrait bottle with the seal on the neck, except that it's too big to be an extrait bottle. I checked the Guerlain bottle design blog to see if this design was adapted from one of the vintage bottles, but didn't see anything similar. My favorite Guerlain bottle is the Bouchon Coeur (Mitsouko) bottle. Also love the Vol de Nuit and Chamade extrait bottles.

Other than being a Dominique Ropion creation and part of the Frederic Malle line, I don't think it has anything to do with Portrait of a Lady. It is really good, though.

Thanks! It seems to be an aldehydic floral, with a good bit of jasmine, and given that I've really been into aldehydes this summer, I had to go check it out online. It seems to only be offered in a parfum version, at least on Saks. I will need to sample it first...

You might like Hermes L'Ambre des Merveilles which is a cozy amber vanilla scent. It's still pretty hot here and my brain is kind of slow today (must be the heat), so that's the only one that popped into my mind. Will update with other suggestions later.

Thank you for the suggestion! Now to figure out how to get a sample... I'm hundreds of miles from an Hermes boutique. :-s

I hear you! Have you tried Sephora? Some years ago, they used to carry the Hermes line, and maybe still do so. I actually sampled L'Ambre des Merveilles in a Sephora store if my recollection serves me correctly. Also, keep an eye out for samples on Fragrance net.
