no but seriously that way is very very convenient if your store is abrooad as they send you pics of items you may like and you decide then abd there if you love it and they just deduct it and ship it . no holding back of items waiting for the money clearance etc very easy and convenient for both sides

i assumed most ladies here have a bottomless credit limit (like AMEX black card or something like tt) thus purchases at H is never a worry.
in s'pore, one's credit limit is 2x of your monthly salary (per bank) - i always wondered if there was A DAY tt i was going to purchase a croc H birkin (still dreaming of tt day), how many cards do i have to swipe at the cashier & how wld the SA view me as a customer (not exactly a very glamorous situation), LOL

Black Amex Charge card, gotta pay the balance in full at the end of the month anyway, so might as well get some points for it.
I think your question is, if you have a low(er) credit limit and your C/C company will not increase the limit to accomodate such a big purchase?
The way to get around it is to pay the difference into your C/C account. eg. your limit is $30k even after a temporary credit increase (because you are overseas). Pay $20k into your account with check, and your credit limit becomes $50k. Or pay the whole amount for the croc birkin into your C/C account anyway.

I have done this twice. Not because I bought a croc Hermes bag but it's during the time when my credit limit is like a student's, hence low, and I had to buy a bag without carrying too much cash with me.
Oh and it was not an H bag. Just an LV. But still...

My Amex has been great for Hermes shopping (doesn't have credit limit)... I feel Hermes stores prefer Amex as well for some reason
