Hi all! New to this forum, but love reading all the stories. I have a random question....what do you all do with the boxes? How to you fly your newly begotten beauties home? I feel like I would have to throw away the box, in order to fit a bag (if I'm lucky enought!) into my luggage...but I would hate to have to throw that beautiful orange box away. What's everyone's secret or method? Thanks!

Read back. Lots of advice on this. I carry a giant suitcase and it just fits. The other options are Le post or FedEx. Don't throw it away.

Dont throw it away! I moved all of my stuff to my DH's luggage to make room for the box :)

I shipped mine back home. Definitely don't throw it away.

I brought a big suitcase and then stuffed the box with some of my clothes, so it really didn't take up too much extra room. I carried my bag with me as I would never put that into checked luggage.

Oh my....yr Rubis is GORRRRGGGGG!! I will ask for Herbag too next time. I guess I was a bit overwhelmed by my first visit to FSH that I forgot half of the things I wanted to see IRL[emoji16][emoji16]
I have same RDT but with PHW! Classic piece!!
And the scarf is STUNNING!! Looooove anything in B&W!

Major congrats scoring these in Paris!!!!

Thank you, mygoodies [emoji5]️ I was hesitating a little whether or not I've made the right color choice with my Herbag [emoji15]

I get what you mean! The same happened to me on day 1 [emoji23] but I've realized that I have to reorganize my thoughts after the first try and remind myself to remain steady [emoji41]

Hehe we are RDT twinees in a way [emoji133] I had the exact thought with the scarf! B&W will match literally everything! Can't wait to start wearing all my Hermés items [emoji126]

Congratulation!!! I read your stories and I believe the next time you come to paris you will definitely get your dream bags!! Enjoy your new goodies! :) :)

Thank you, Lovehermes89 [emoji5]️ I told myself to appreciate what I've 'accomplished' in this recent trip and that next time I will have even better luck [emoji1]

Gorgeous H goodies and I love your Herbag, you don't see many photo's of these. Thank you for showing us.

Thank you, Whispercrest [emoji5]️ I wasn't too sure if much TPFers would be interested in my sharing as other posts are so much more 'glorious' compared to mine but after my first time, I'm now less shy to share haha [emoji14]

What a great haul! Perfect, and the scarf is incredible,

Thank you, Baglover121 [emoji5]️ I'm glad my first 'unofficial' haul turned out nicely [emoji120] Putting the magnificent print aside, it's 70% cashmere 30% silk so definitely suitable for all year around which is what I hoped for [emoji7]

These are absolutely beautiful. I look forward to hearing more of your success stories in the future. All good things come to those who wait. :D

Thank you, periogirl28 [emoji5]️ Successful or not, I'd definitely share more of my experiences in the coming future [emoji39] The wait definitely makes the reward much more fruitful I would say [emoji176]

6:30 am here in Paris, and I still haven't slept for a minute... One lady from FSH called me yesterday afternoon, to inform me that the bag I asked for was finally ready, waiting for me to pick it up :)
I went to FSH on Nov 17, right after the tragic events, a little bit before they closed. The leather section was empty, I couldn't believe it. It was pretty sad though. I immediately spoke to a lovely SA, a young woman that I had never seen before (but I know Hermès hire many short-term employees, especially during Holidays), and I asked to see the current color swatches. I asked if having a Kelly 28/32 in Togo Bleu Electrique with PHW was possible, she noted my wish and told me she would call me the next day after she gets more info on what they would receive. And so she did call me and said this combo would be available soon in size 28 only. And I was waiting for her call since then. 2 weeks and a half later, here I am, not sleeping! :D

Thanks ladies!
I actually live in Paris the most part of the year. I visit the 3 stores whenever I'm around before they close. Over 2015, I bought 2-3 pairs of shoes (in Paris stores and online) and 2 scarves for relatives, 1 mini Evelyne for me last august online... And my first Birkin back in January :) Which I had in the same conditions, I asked around end November- beginning December, the SA (who was just there for the Holidays) noted my wish (they don't always do), I wanted a B35 in Epsom grey or taupe, and she suggested the color Etain that was coming in. And a few weeks later, they sent me an email and called me to inform me that the bag was there.
I don't have any regular SA and have a few professional cards from them. When I asked around June/July/August, they had nothing, stores were way more crowded, and barely took my wishes into consideration, and never proposed me to call me back.

Congratulations!!! It's a HG bag! And I agree with you, it seems that previous shopping history in Paris/France helps with you getting bag. They kept asking me if I have purchase history at FSH, and I said no, because I shopped at my local Canadian store... And I got no bag!!

Thanks so much for yr explanation! I guess I have to return to Paris more often now. Getting a call after a few weeks of waiting is impossible in my country[emoji17] But I'll take my chances next time I'm there and will ask if they could put my name down for my dream B. I guess asking wouldn't hurt anyone right.
Pls show pics of yr new baby!!!!
