Back from Paris! Multiple attempts, but no appointments. I fumbled the ball twice… First I forgot to put in for an apt on Sat for Monday. Second, my request entered for Wen I did not see the email confirmation request until after 730pm. Successfully entered appointment requests for Thur & Fri but no luck. Here’s the full story…

I was in Saint Tropez last wk & popped into H there to see what items off my wishlist I could score. While trying on rings I mentioned to the SA that I noticed someone earlier being offered a K and asked if it were possible to get a K or KP. She stated that they rarely get KPs and Ks are normally are reserved for VIPs. She asked if there was anything else I was interested in & I advised an Etoupe Picotin 22 w/ gold hardware. She went into the back & returned with a large box stating that while it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for she hoped I would like it. The offer was a Etoupe 22 but with silver hardware. I loved it & took it and the ring I was looking at. Flash fwd to the next wk… landed in Paris on Mon where I met my husband. He went to George V to look for a bracelet that was sold out in St Tropez but no luck. Tuesday we were walking by FSH & decided to drop in. Was interested in shoes so we headed to that section. Asked to see a pair of sandals and was advised we had to register for the waitlist. Once that was done we were sent a text w/ a link that provides queue status. We started in 7th place & it took at least 30mins to get a SA. The stock was low & basically everything I was interested in was sold out in my size (39.5/40). I asked the SA if she could help with scarves & such but was advised no, I had to go back downstairs to find another SA. Thankfully I was able to find a free SA immediately. She helped me with scarves & then advised she could help me with anything else besides leather and proceeded to assist me with finding a rodeo & some makeup products. The next day while walking around we popped into Serves & I asked for a same day appointment but was denied. I did purchase a bracelet as we were leaving out. Few days later the DH wanted a Goyard card case & afterward we left we popped into George V where I was again turned town for a same day appointment.

Overall I was bummed that I didn’t get the K I hoped for, but pleased I was able to cross a few items off my wishlist.

15th august falls on a Sunday this year. So besides Sundays all Hermes stores are open in august

you can use a vpn set to France to apply from the US. You can only apply for the next day and you can only apply from 10:30 to 7:00 (I can’t exactly remember the times). You cannot apply when the stores are closed basically - so you cannot apply on a Sunday for a Monday appt. You have to apply Saturday for Monday.

I used it when I went in June and it worked. But I am no expert. And obviously only used it once cause then we were in France. By worked I mean I got the email to confirm my request not that I got an appointment.

I forgot to mention how I applied (and then scored) my lottery appointment in June if this can help somehow. We were flying from Barcelona to Paris on Thursday afternoon and then staying in Paris till Monday:
- first attempt was on Wednesday (for Thursday) while I was in Barcelona, even though I was sure I wouldn’t make it to the city until 4-5pm, but still tried. The first attempt was a fail, since I didn’t know I needed to confirm my request through email.
- second attempt was Thursday afternoon (for Friday) while I was on the plane, I think we landed in Paris by then (I forgot to apply in the morning, since we were heading to the airport and I had to deal with checkouts and other stuff). This time I remembered to click the link in the confirmation email. No luck
- third attempt was on Friday morning (for Saturday) at 10am sharp while in our hotel in Paris (the hotel was a short walk from FSH) while connected to hotel WiFi. Then during the day since we were so close to FSH, I stopped by the boutique just to see what the atmosphere was like, it was really busy. I might have connected to FSH WiFi while at the store, but not 100% sure since it was a while ago. In the evening at 8:20 pm I received my confirmation for lottery appointment at FSH.

Summing up, I think the best chances to score the appointment are applying in the morning while you’re in Paris connected to local WiFi 😃
