I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

He definitely found my profile as he read my home address to me. Whether it lists my previous purchases, I’m not sure.
When I went in October last year, FSH SA said they were not able to see my US profile activity but H was working towards having global access. A few days later at Sevres, the SA was able to see all my spend in Paris by store, date, items and amount but nothing from US. Seems like H Paris has updated their system.

Are you flying into CDG or Orly and will you have checked bags? It will take you some time (varying by the above) to actually get to the appointment, as all the stores are in central Paris.
I suppose it's worth trying, since your chance each day is exactly the same, and if you cancel you free up a space for a walk-in - but personally I wouldn't. That's a lot of stress on the first day of a trip, plus even with plane wifi you may not be able to cancel an early appointment.
Into CDG. Last time I had the same flight, getting out of the airport was pretty seamless. Yes I think I will hold off, not worth the stress of it all and would hate to potentially affect someone else’s chance at an appt. Thanks for your input!!

Sharing some good news and hoping to spread the joy!

Hubby and I were in Paris last week for four days. We both have an H profile albeit a small spend. We tried every day and finally by day 3 DH scored an appointment at Sevres at opening. Prior to this we did try to walk in and ask for cancellations at FSH and Sevres but was told to try again on both occasions. I really did try to manage my expectations as it seems like there hasn't been much luck lately based on the posts here and didn't want this to be the sole purpose of our trip - it is Paris after all and there is so much to see/enjoy!

We showed up to our appointment at our allocated time and was greeted by a lovely SA. I gave him my wishlist and about 10 mins later he came back saying they had not received any BKC shipment that morning so nothing he could offer in terms of B's and K's. He then asked if there were any other bags and I asked for a mini lindy. He came back with a Geta bag which I had declined.

We walked out feeling pretty disappointed though I had totally expected this (just surprised that DH was disappointed as well lol).

The next day was our last day in Paris and we were due to leave in the evening. I casually said to DH that we could always pop by George V as we hadn't been this trip but it wasn't a "must" given it seems our chances are slim anyways. DH agreed and after lunch we made our way to George V. By the time we arrived there was a short line outside George V so again I knew our chances were slim. After 15 mins of waiting, we got in and browsed around the store. We then made our way to the leather desk and explained that we had tried for an appointment everyday and were leaving that evening. The lady at the desk apologized and said there were no cancellations and to potentially try asking at FSH.

We were about to leave and I told DH to wait for me as I had to use the bathroom beforehand. When I came out DH told me to wait by the display bags as an SA approached him and he explained to the SA the same thing we told the lady at the leather desk. The SA asked us to wait there and she will see what she can do. The SA then returned and asked what we were looking for. I gave her my wishlist and away she went. Shortly afterwards, the SA returned and asked us to follow her to a private room on the first floor and the rest is Birkin history!

I managed to score my very first quota bag and it is a B25! :)

Everything everyone has said here is true - I really felt like I was dreaming the moment she pulled the B25 out of the dustbag!

Good luck to those travelling to Paris and I wish you success!

Wow what a great story! I hope to get some luck like you next month when I’m in Paris! B25 is exactly what I want too!

Just coming to the end of my Paris journey - I applied every day for 5 days and sadly nothing (not even a rejection email!). However I visited both FSH and Sevres and that was an experience in itself! I was just blown away by the size of the stores, how much stock they had and the displays! There were some lovely SAs who helped me with fashion jewellery and I will be back in a few months to try again.

I did just get in to Sevres before a protest began outside though and was very glad for the security team who closed the gates to stop anyone from coming through (people did try!), when we were able to exit several bus shelters had been smashed and pallets set on fire outside the store.

I’m so glad you are okay. Wow.

It was alarming. I took some videos of the scene and the fire but it doesn’t feel right to post them or any screenshots here. The majority of protesters were in the road acting normally but there were a number of individuals with face coverings on the edges looking for trouble, banging the iron door etc. The security team made us feel very safe and I was very grateful for them. Customers can take them for granted but they do a brilliant job every day.
