Could you pls let me know how to get the tax free form for online items ?!!! I was able to buy some sushi plates but no idea how to get the tax free form !!! I’ll leave France by Oct 1st so if you see this post pls lmk if you don’t mind ! Ty !!
You'll get the tax back if you ship your items to a store and they will do it for you. If you choose to ship to a personal address, you won't have it.

Going to Paris on the first week of October and I am super excited! Does anyone know if the Avalon blanket is in stock at the FSH location? Interested in buying a pair of white Oran sandals as well! Hopefully I can score a leather appointment but if I don’t it is what it is.

P.s my dream bag would be a birkin 25 or BIRKIN 30 in any neutral colors :”)
Call/chat with Customer Service before you go and they will check stock of the blanket for you. Right now they don’t check stock of shoes I believe.

hi, just sharing my first visit to Hermes in Paris recently. Only there for 3 days alone. Zero purchase history in France.
Rejected for first day and second day. On the second day itself, I went to Sevres store to visit and make some purchase (end up with 2 rings - one gold one silver) and a Barenia watch strap. The SA was professional, but not friendly enough to offer me anything to drink, or make small talk when I tried to engage her. Asked her for a calvi and she said nothing is available.
I hated that I shopped with her lol.

Went to the leather appt lady to try my luck but of course she was polite to say no. Third day lottery was also rejected despite now with purchase history.

That’s it! I hope I have better luck next year ◡̈
I tried for 4 days, Fri-Tues. No luck either.
Purchased a couple of items in Sevres and even made the appointment using their WiFi lol. Better luck next time.

As i have received a lot of msgs about my recent offer i would like to share my paris experience. We planned this trip to paris as i wanted to try my luck and get a cargo birkin , our plan was to stay for 8 days and try with walk in and online. All the below is related to FSH only, i have visited both george v and sevres one time each and it was packed, and everything is sold out.

Monday : applied on Saturday for Monday and got rejected. We went on Monday afternoon to get some items but everything was sold out, i ended up ordering a pair of boots from the website and was able to do the tax free for it.

Tuesday: rejected.

Wednesday: rejected, and rejected for Friday as the store was closed and i had to apply on Wednesday.

Thursday: I opened the website to try applying for another store as i was already rejected for the next day for FSH, but then i was surprised that i could actually apply again for Friday. I applied and got the confirmation email by 8 pm for Friday appointment.

The SA went for around 20 mins, at this time i heard two people next to me get rejected. The same line “sorry due to low stock we dont have birkins or kellys”.

The sa came back with a small box and i followed her to jewellry section, there was a couple being offered a SO and a guy being offered the new birkin 30 3in1, mini lindy and verrou croc.
She opened the box and it was birkin 25 in togo in chai, the bag was amazing but i was disappointed as i wanted something more fun.

She told that she also had toile in k28 and B30 if i was interested , she offered to bring the kelly 28 for me to see it. I hated the size on me , i prefer the 25 and 32.

I then asked if i could see the 30 and it was love at first sight. The size is not what i wanted but it suit me so much.

I was also offered roulis in ostrich trench and geta in nata i rejected both.

I ended up getting the birkin 30 toile and mini 24/24 in gold.
Notes from this appointment:

1- SA informed me that i could only choose 1 bag from the following : b/k/c/Lindy in any size.

2- white colour bags are consider very hard to get now and very popular so basically impossible.

3- They do have stock for shoes but they are more selective on whom to sale them to.

Congrats! ❤️

My FSH SA surprised me with
28K quadrille toile accepted
Picotin 18 cargo accepted
Offer for a horizon bag, refused politely
I had no luck with RTW though I tried everything. Nothing fit correctly

Ah you’re back in Paris already? Congrats on your 2 bags they are unicorns!
Did you have to apply an online appointment or was it walk-in?
Enjoy them!!

Thank you. i made an appt with my FSH SA a few months prior ( at her suggestion for when I was next in town). on This trip I expected to buy RTW, not bags, so this was a complete surprise.

I tried 8 times in April and 10 times in September and no appointment.
The last time I got an appointment was almost a year ago.

I also have a significant spend in France in RTW. I had my doubts before but now the lottery really does feel random. It's possible that H is also updating it over the past 5 years, since they've made visible changes such as - text confirmation, email confirmation, no confirmation, all 3 stores on the lottery, etc

Even my previous SA said they could not help me with a leather reservation anymore.

I checked almost every day at FSH for cancellations and it was extremely busy at all times of the day.

I think it depends on the SA. Some of them are very accommodating and some just don’t care to help with leather appointment.

Hi, I just returned from Paris. I was there from September 4th to 18th mainly for work but also added on vacation time. I had an opportunity to visit all the stores. I visited FSH on Sept 6th and observed that all the desks were occupied with open boxes containing mainly GP, Picotins and larger Evelynes. I did not see an empty desk which indicated to me that virtually all the offers were being conducted in public, thus few QB were being offered.

George V-had a long line to get in and an even long line to wait for an SA in every department. George V was the only store that had lines, both to get into the store and for assistance in every department... it is truly overrun with customers. If planning a trip to Paris I would recommend staying away from George V as it had a long line every day. I was staying at a hotel in the nearby and it always had a long line.

I was rejected by the lottery at every attempt and I have a purchase history in France. I had an appointment on Wed only to find out that all appointments had been cancelled due to an IT glitch. I did ask for a walk-up appointment a Sevres, they asked what I was looking for and went to inquire but ultimately was rejected, I think because I was asking for a Kelly. I was lucky enough to get to participate in a paper making workshop at Petit H which was a fun and unique.

I was able to secure a walk-up leather appointment at FSH the next day, where I was able to get a Kelly 28 and a new SA, for which I was extremely grateful. I had to wait for ~ 45 minutes for my appointment and I saw several people being granted walk-up appointments. I thought they must have gotten a shipment. However, my SA indicated that they had not gotten new leather stock since the previous week and that they were very low on stock waiting on a shipment. We speculated that they may be holding stock for fashion week. Not sure if the walk-up appointments were being granted because of another IT glitch or cancellations. Just thankful to have gotten an appointment. I had met my SA before as he had been at the leather desk on one of my previous visits and I was surprised when I first saw him as I thought he worked the desk. He indicated that they change off positions as working the desk is very challenging and so one day they may be working the desk the next day the SLG counter and another day appointments. Keep this in mind when asking for walk-up appointments.

During my 3 visits to FSH I had to wait for assistance giving me the opportunity to observe just how the people at the leather appointment desk are treated. They are asked in mass for appointments and many people are not happy about being rejected. I observed numerous entitled people who were verbally abusive to the staff. Several men came in with scantly clad women for whom they were seeking appointments and seemed shocked that they were not granted an appointment and/or could not purchase one of the many bags on display. One such man told the staff that he would be tracking down the CEO and letting him know about the outrageous practices. It was entertaining to watch-but also sad that so many people seem to think that this type of behaviour is acceptable, and/or that it will help them achieve their goals. My advice is to be respectful of the staff and understand they have a difficult job. I do think that they are doing their best under challenging circumstances.

For walk-in appointments I would recommend trying FSH and Sevres. If you don't have an appointment I would suggest allowing some time so that you can observe and try and approach the desk when no one else is around. They are most likely to grant a walk-up appointment to someone when no one else is around. I don't think that purchase history helps secure a lottery appointment but I do think it might help with a walk-in appointment. Always be kind and courteous. I also would not be surprised to see if all appointments in Paris are soon granted only via the lottery. I was told that they now have 20,000 requests a day for appointments.

I also stopped into the Hermes duty free store in the airport there was a wait to get in and everyone asked about bags. I was looking for scarves. I was also interested to see if they had any Passant-long wallets as there was one on display and I had not seen one for a few years. The SA's at the airport were so new that they did not even know the name, I pulled one from my purse and they laughed as said ohh they had not know the name of the wallet, but they could not sell anything in the windows as it was for display purposes only. I asked for a click16 but again I had to show them pictures as they were so new they did not know what I was referring. I was offered Bern wallet (not interested) and a mini Evelyne. I was told that they do get a limited supply of bags at the airport but are selective with whom they offer them to as everyone comes in and asks for bags. They told me that they only had 2 bags in stock both Evelyne and they did not know when they would get more, so they are always selective with whom they offer, so keep this in mind when shopping duty free. I hope that this update is of assistance.
