I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

That forum should be call gossip Hermès.
Not gone answer to everyone will make a general post.
I am not a reseller and never will be.. I will with anyone asking share my collection ( pictures) in private. You will see that the stickers off all my bags except the birkin 30
I did post my bag for the simply reason that I got a call asking if I was interested in a birkin 25 in etoupe. Not Paris but a city in France where I went in September when I was left with my Constance. I am sure that I did mention it.
Some of you will say you could have said no it’s true.. Like someone did mention I have a SO which will be a Kelly 28 craie/trench. I truly fell in love with the color étoupe but at the end prefer to have it in a b25. Come in private and will share the receipt when I get the bag.
Do you think that if I was a reseller will share my real name, gave quite some informations about how I am. Would have wait almost 2 months, waited Christmas.

Regarding my persistence with the online system, it’s probably not the best but I am a «player » it was a challenge to know after how many attempts I will get an appointment.

I know that I am extremely lucky for that Hermes 30 but at the end of the day it’s my bag and if I prefer it in a 25 it’s my decision.
Not that it is anyone business except me and the buyer but my price is reasonable, I don’t think reseller will ask what I do.

Maybe it's time to calm down here a bit. Yes, it's shameful but that's life. Being jealous is our own probem and it's with Hermès to deal with the resellers. Life has so many other aspects ... no need to collapse because of this.

sry if that seems bluntly ... I've had personal issues where this is an atom in a haystack

You don’t need to explain yourself and yes what you do is your business not anyones however I would still qualify you as a reseller end of story! You don’t like a bag return it - you can’t return it then sell it at a price that is not almost double the price you bought it. That’s a definition of a reseller.

I tried to see if I could maybe get a booking due to the cancellation and was told to keep trying. I also got some of the infamous chocolates (3 unwrapped chocolates be box ). I purchased a little something just in case it will help my profile to be chosen for an appointment.

I was following the Paris trip for Hermes forum in the hopes that I might be able to make a transatlantic trip in December to try and get a bag. in Canada we are limited to 1 quota bag a year! Spend ratios are 2:1/3:1 to get a bag. It would be so nice to live in Europe, try on a daily basis, get a confirmation and show up the next morning and get a bag- which are truly in limited supply due to covid.

I saw all of your posts about the online system and complaints about having to travel from Belgium and using your Mexican phone number etc, then to see that you got a bag and are reselling it for double the price! Don't take the bag if it is not what you want it!

You potentially took away a bag from someone who travelled days to get to Paris and had only a few days to try and get a once in a lifetime bag. I understand if you purchase a bag, use it and hold it for a while and decide it is not right, but to purchase a bag and then decide to sell right before Christmas (likely to a buyer who truly is desperate to have a bag under the tree) for double the price you paid.... yes this does give off reseller vibes.

My first bag I got in Paris was not exactly what I wanted- they rarely are but in my mind most are so ecstatic to even be able to get a bag close to what they were looking for is a win and they would never think of reselling it a month later.

It really makes me sad to see resellers exploit this system as I do think Hermes will have no other choice than to stop the lottery to restrict the resellers. I want to see the system preserved so others can have that experience!

I used to laugh at people mentioning the words "bag" and "investment" in one sentence, but...

I will speak for myself - I am certainly not jealous that AF successfully made a profit ( that’s if she has sold the bag) from her recent purchase from Hermes FSH. My gripe / irritation is the deception/ lies ( my perception). And no one is collapsing cos of this life goes on and there is more to life than this however when we have a platform for various topics it’s ok for people to comment that’s what they are for!

I would check your Hermes receipts. Every single one of mine state: "The customer represents and warrants that they are purchasing Hermes products for their own personal use. Therefore, you agree you will not directly or indirectly, resell Hermes products purchased in our boutiques for commercial purposes."

Granted, I am in the USA and not the EU but I would assume there's similar language on the receipts there. I personally feel that attempting to rehome a bag at significantly more than what you paid for it is considered a commercial purpose.

Do you have a pic, please ?

I'm sure there are lots of resellers on this forum. I'm pretty sure Hermes "likes" them to a certain extent. They seem to externally say they are against it, but internally they need them to keep their profits going. I'm sure so many VIPs are actually resellers. My philosophy is the only way to defeat them is DON'T BUY FROM THEM. I also don't sell my H bags ever. I've gotten two Bs from Paris and will cherish them forever. Keep your bags folks, if you aren't using them, that's ok pass them on to a family member or keep them as a collection item, or you may find out a few years down the road that they actually do meet your functional needs. Even bags that I use rarely, I get flutters in my stomach when I take out to appreciate. Don't sell and don't buy second hand or from resellers is my philosophy.

only a reseller would do what she did - no doubt about that!
