I read that in France all non-essential stores will be closed for now? (Stores other than grocery, pharmacies, healthcare). If that is accurate then it would surely increase flexibility further regarding questions related to picking up items. If I misread the store closures please feel free to correct me though.
wow I was at FSH just yesterday! Glad I went.

Breaking news that US Hermes stores Nationwide will be closed. I wonder what this means for Hermes in Europe??

Hermes stores in France and Spain have already a been shut down, not sure about the other European countries but I think they are in similar situation.

Wow I just made purchases over the phone around lunchtime, my SA said they just got shipment today. She didn’t mention them closing the boutique...

I live in NL. Lots of events are cancelled, some schools, museums and public places are closed, but there are many that still opens. I got email that some stores only accept card payment (no cash). But all of this are only valid up to 31 of March until further notice.

Nevertheless...
Yesterday FSH just confirmed my appointment in mid-April. I just email them to confirm my visit and to give me early warning should anything happen that affect the store opening time.

The question is not which boutiques or hopes or not everything come from the factory. It’s not an official information but she isn’t shut down.. In Middle East everything is open, Japon too for example. What I can guess is that production is reduce.
Peoples talking about up coming appointment in Paris everything is shut down since yesterday evening so at this point it’s suspend until they can open.
In France they haven’t fix a date, Italy it’s 21 days, Belgium 3/4 april.

I agree with this
Assuming the work shop in France will be closed now, so it is like the annual August shutdown, but this time with the potential that it is shut for longer than a month, as situation is likely ongoing.

@QuelleFromage Did you make it to Paris and go to H? If I missed your post, let me know where it is.

I posted a couple pages back. We literally canceled our trip an hour before leaving to the airport. Some of the meetings I had scheduled would have been cancelled due to companies ceasing travel. I also had a sense that the US might close borders to Europe and that it might be a nightmare getting home. So, bags packed, dog sitter coming, the whole nine yards and we canceled last second. We would have made it home but it would not have been fun.

For those asking about shipping, I have a bag to pick up in a European store (not FSH and not a special order) that was offered to be shipped, but I am waiting to pick it up, as the last time I shipped leather goods from H in Europe to the US I paid 20% duty. I think pretty soon the shipping option will go away.
