Is not fashion week end of February this year?

I believe they mean the Paris Couture shows. The spend calibre of attending customers would be on a totally different scale. Paris Fashion Week for Pret a Porter is Feb 24 to March 4 2020.

Before going to Paris I always tell my husband I don’t leave without a bag that I love.
And because I truly believe that (and don’t mind changing flights etc ) I am always lucky in Paris. But I think extra luck was with me this trip.

Where I live the store is a 50% franchise not only are items generally 30-40% more expensive they now also force you to to spend 1.5 the bag value in the same day before you’re allowed to pay for it. For me this makes it cheaper and more fun to travel to Europe and try there.

We were in Europe close by Paris and decided to spend the last few days in Paris and fly back from Paris. I tried the appointment system on Friday and Saturday and for both rejected. On Monday I went into store and met the Men’s wear SA who helps me every time we’re in Paris we chatted and I told him about being rejected multiple times. We selected some ready to wear for my husband and he asked the ladies of the leather appointment department if it was possible to set me up for an appointment later that day. They told me unfortunately they were fully booked and asked me to try the system again. That day I was granted with an appointment for 10:30 the next day. While leaving the store I met one of the senior leather department persons who helped me last time with a handbag. We chatted a bit and she told me she had to go to the next client.

I went into store the next day at 10:30 with my 1,5 year old who was still sleepy and cranky. Got helped immediately by a SA who I never met. I told her I was looking for a mini Kelly, in either a lighter neutral or fun pop color, a Kelly 25 in a yellow, green or pink. If that’s all not available I would love a Birkin in a pastel like very criquet or blue brune. She was gone for about 20 minutes, came back with 3 boxes showed me a Constance in etoupe with rose gold hardware, a picotin and showed me in the system what other colors were available, and a Kelly 32 retourne in a dark brown. I am 48kg and 1.60m so a k32 just doesn’t fit my posture. I’m not sure if she didn’t want to give me a bag off my specifications or just wasn’t allowed. She then showed me verrou and 20/20 touch in multiple colors. I declined all bags and asked her what my options were. She said try again tomorrow. View attachment 4649860

I thanked her and walked to womans RTW I selected some tshirts a few twillaine cardigans and a skirt with jacket. I when I wanted to meet my husband for brunch I again met the senior SA who I saw the previous day. She asked how my appointment went and I told her I was a but disappointed but tried not to think about it. She asked me to wait 5 minutes and came back to tell me that she set up an appointment for my husband with her at 3pm. I went for brunch and had this crazy feeling that I might actually get my dream bag. 3pm came by and she asked me to sit in the men’s department, she asked for my list and came back with a Kelly 20 in Gris asphalte which I absolutely love!

We thanked her selected some leather items such as wallets passport covers and on the way out my husband fell in love with a dark gray crocodile jacket. And added it to our bill. They told me because the jacket is such a special piece she needed to discuss something with the manager, I told my husband we are losers this must be a VIP piece you’re not even allowed to purchase it[emoji317][emoji23]. They then came back and told me I was allowed my very first special order next to the mini Kelly. Unfortunately the famous room with the wall of leathers for special orders was busy with some sort of royal VIP so they brought this box to me instead.

The SA and manager gave me contact details and asked me to text them directly the next time we come to Paris to set up appointments. Maybe my husbands crazy priced crocodile American rapper style jacket is what made us losers some sort of new vip after all!

Thank you for your sweet reply’s. I am a bit ashamed to say and don’t know if I should but The price of the jacket was 65.000 minus the 10% tax which makes it 59.000 euro. I will make a picture when I get home. It’s a grey full crocodile bomber jacket.

I requested a crocodile leather but not grey I love pop colors in croco let’s see if they grant my request.

Woman’s fashion week is indeed in February. In January they had men’s fashion week and haute couture fashion week. The Chanel haute couture was AMAZING!!

My husband advised against making a picture of the exact jacket he got since we have had a burglary in our previous house.

But basically it is this one in a different shade tone.

Hmmm, this thread seems to be only focused on shopping for bags in Paris. I'm going there this weekend and am super excited as it will be my first time going to the Paris H stores! I'm not interested in bags though. I'm hoping to score some grail scarves from previous seasons, and maybe 1-2 pieces from the new Passifolia tableware collection. I'm also very interested in seeing their RTW stock. Hermes RTW is so beautiful and I've noticed that most stores carry very different pieces. The Paris stores have a good inventory I imagine! Anyway just a rambling post to express my excitement and I hope to report back with my purchases on Sunday!

Dear all,

I have always been a silent follower or this thread but now I feel like it is time to share my experience since the messages herein helped me a lot on my FSH journey.

Even though I have visited Paris 4 times last year, I never took the plunge to try the appointment system as I consider myself to be very unlucky. Finally, I decided to try last June and got an appointment after 5 tries! I was very excited, had my color/size specifications ready and was assisted by a young SA. Something I have never read here was she asked me if I had a relationship with the H in my country, if yes what is the name of the SA there etc etc. After all those queries she was gone for 20-30 minutes and came empty-handed due to the holiday season. I was very strict with my preferences which I kind of regret, I wish I was broader because she seemed like she actually wanted to help me. She even did a second round and brought me a Kelly Pochette in Black Swift PHW but I refuses because I only wanted GHW. (Looking back, I regretted this decision of mine until today....) I was very discouraged and did some Chanel shopping instead

I decided to try again and this time I waited for all holiday seasons and big events like fashion week to pass. Luckily I got an appointment on my 3rd time. This time a male SA kindly helped me and was very to the point. After I told all my requests (which he joked that was everyone’s request is almost the same: grays, gold, noir...) he went and came back 5(!) minutes later! I have to admit, the minute I saw him, I thought to myself “no not again...” but as he came closer he thanked for my patience and asked me to follow him! He told me he had something he thinks I will love and a Noir Birkin 30 Chevre GHW made an appearance!! I was shocked to see Chevre because I know how special it is! My heart was beating so fast that I think I thanked him 20 times He also offered me a rodeo but as I am not that interested in charms I took a bandana twilly instead and paid for my items. All in all, the process took only 20 minutes (and I was ready for a long run )

I will take a photo and post it here soon when I am home. But I wanted to share my experience here beforehand. Miracles do happen ladies! And bad experiences may be something we thank in the long run. I would have never tried again and get this dream bag if I settled with the Kelly Pochette back in June. Thank you for sharing and I wish everyone the best of luck with their H fairies ‍♂️

My DH was in Paris last week for work and I asked him to check with our lovely SA for a new Kelly shoulder strap. FSH did not have the one I wanted but he came home with this instead! K32 retourne evercolor in Lime with PHW. It is my first "fun" color Kelly after several neutrals. I can't wait for warm weather.
