I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Ladies, I was completely hopeless, broken hearted, hated Hermes for a bit paris experience in addition to local one (Ive been doing Hermes game since 2009 with local store and had my share of ups/downs), humiliated, angry, and all sort of disappointment.

But I still tried, as a walk-in, was polite, expressed my love & knowledge towards the brand, was picky indeed and is proud of myself i didn't gave in & bought the first offer (kelly), didn't emphasise I'm only after B/K/C, I was still interested in all bags I've mentioned earlier, was smiling and positive and expressed ZERO negativity towards failures at the stores.

I still think it is pure luck, Politeness and respectfulness, its your attitude and Vibe, how you connect with the SA (non robotic ones), how you maintain the conversation, how u convince SA ur a true hermes lover, not a reseller or someone who is after the typical bag showoff, its also about how smartly u play the game ( I know many follow this but still unlucky and I totally understand).

I had another lady (Day3) standing relatively close to me acting snobbyish/ kind of ordering the SA when it comes to asking for items, kind of impolite behaviour and communication and i knew was she was buying items to either ask for a bag or an appt (she seemed very well-off) but alas very nosed up and rude-ish.

I then overheard her saying ill buy this and that and sign me up for an appt (not sure if she noticed I was given one or no?), her SA politely asked her to apply online, she was fuming, left all her potential items and stormed off the store , I saw many of these incidents, with "come on you have stock, bring it out" or "im buying it with my own money, its ur loss if u dont sell it" or accusing SA being liars when they say no delivery or no bags, and Im like:wtf: No No not this approach no but again people are different.

Thats my story ladies and I know it was a long one, but this thread gave me so much insight& made me THOROUGHLY prepared, so as a token of appreciation I wanted to share my own experience in details - Thank You again to all who have contributed here and Good Luck to all tpfers at FSH all year long LOL.

Here is my beauty Bleu Nuit Birkin 25 with GH (Green Charm is an arabic letter made by local brand in Dubai& the heart is petite H charm).

Your experience of a robot SA that was disengaged from any helpful exchange between you and her (him) is similar to something I wrote in this thread a couple of months ago. I don't know if some SA's just get burnt out (the SA stops caring) but it's certainly majorly aggravating to come all the way to Paris and get an unhelpful SA. I hope the other parts of your trip went well. The yes/no curt response certainly does not facilitate any kind of browsing or serendipity which is part of the charm of shopping at H.
10000% Agreed, I was disappointed that I purposely picked Dec to visit Paris based on feedback I received, kept my savings for this trip and That I was there for 4 days Only, let alone the strike? it was a torture but Im thankful eventually It went well :flowers::heart:

I think you did great b/c you stopped yourself from plunking down a lot of change to get a K that wasn't quite right. Plus, you didn't try to please the SA (people-pleasing) by buying something that wasn't quite right. You are a positive example for us all. :flowers::flowers::flowers:
It was such a hard decision and I was kind of worried if I will ever regret not buying it? I still rather invest in other bags/purchases that are "me" & Im 100% happy and content about rather than forcing myself into a bag Im not quite happy about, I know many will be like u missed a classy bag everyone else would die for, but it simply wasn't me.

What a lovely experience and score! B25 in Bleu Nuit is on my list so I am very jealous.

No luck for me today, although I was offered a 24/24.

Here for another 4 days and back twice again for a day each so will keep trying.

Will also line up at George V and Serves as suggested.
Fellow tpfer @S2jewels highly recommended I try as a walk-in at FSH after 3PM (magical time), which I did and it worked, always try and ask for cancellation or try to build a rapport with the right SA and see how it goes.

Good Luck:heart:

Hi everyone!

I will be travelling next month to Paris. I got the cards from 3 different SAs during my last visit and managed to score a B30 from one of them. Unfortunately my wallet has been stolen and I have lost all access to the cards and email. :( I tried googling for a generic email address for Paris FSH online but to no avail. Does anyone have the email of the store so I can try my luck to email the SA? I do remember her full name. Thank you so much!

I am happy that you got to score a bag! I think we all learn lessons from this thread, definitely treating SAs respectfully is a must

Unless it's different in FSH/France, I would try [email protected] (all my SAs from UK/Poland had such).

Hello, just sharing my experience. I came to France as a college graduation gift and I’ve been excited to try to get my first in store BKC since I booked the trip. I’ve been in France since the 13th. I landed in the morning so I went straight to fsh and lined up to try to get an appointment. Unfortunately, lining up doesn’t get you an appointment even if you were one of the first ones in line. The only way is through the appointment system. The plan for our trip was Paris->south of France-> Paris. Didn’t go to any Hermes after that fsh incident until our last stop in Marseille. We met an amazing sales assistant. Even if we knew we weren’t getting anything at the time we were there (2 days so it wasn’t possible for him to give us anything immediately), we enjoyed shopping there so much. Unlike Paris, it’s more relaxed and our SA explained everything about the things we bought!! He explained the history of the items, the inspirations, certain artists that inspired the designs, and how the item was made. I was able to buy a picotin 18 in anemone and tons of other things (including a few cups and plates because the current collection is very beautiful). Fast forward to Paris, I was lucky enough to get a 10:30 appointment on the 3rd try so I lined up around 10am and I was second in line. Doors opened and I went up to the second floor to look for my SA. I was assigned an SA who was very straightforward (no small talk); she asked for my wishlist then implied that I should get a matching wallet which I was okay with (the wallet was beautiful). She disappeared for 15 mins and came back with boxes and brought me to a private room!! She showed me a beautiful Epsom birkin 30 in lime and a small wallet along with a fourbi and smiled and said hopefully she found my Christmas gift. I almost cried!! I refused the fourbi but she brought me around the store so I ended up buying keychains, twillies, a Kelly belt, and a scarf ring, along with the initial wallet. Extremely happy at the moment because I got so used to rejections that I can’t believe I got a bag on my first appointment in fsh. I think it helps if you pre-buy stuff before your appointment because she knew what I bought in Marseille and maybe it helped since I started an account there as this is my first time in France. Overall, experience wise, I enjoyed Marseille Hermes the most if you want to immerse yourself in the Hermes culture and history but there are less stocks. FSH Hermes is very fast paced; you don’t really have much time to think but their stocks are incomparable and you have a bigger chance of getting one there. Not sure if what I wore affected my chances of getting one but I was wearing semi formal clothes with an Hermes scarf (that I bought in Marseille) and a Kelly 32. happy with my first Hermes experiences in France and I’m definitely so lucky to leave with a beautiful bag that was in my wishlist! Attached the photo of my FSH haul but my Marseille haul was definitely bigger (too lazy to unpack haha!)

Glad that it worked out well for you! I love reading this thread but I am hesitant to fly to Paris for the exact reasons you mention: I love each of my in store Hermes experiences and I am concern it will loose some of its charm even if I manage to score my dream bag.

getting to get my holy grail , on the other hand...

I think my best advise to you would be to manage expectations. Your trip shouldn’t just be about getting the bag! I absolutely enjoyed every other aspect of my trip; traveling with my best friend and going around the Côte d’Azur. I only got the bag at the end of my trip and while it was at the back of my mind, it wasn’t my first priority. I have experienced meaner and more abrupt SA’s and I think it’s really just luck if you get a good one. Paris is beautiful and even if you’re not sure about Hermes here, you should still come and see the beautiful city. :)
