I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Paris has been my strategy 100%. I do not support or buy from resellers. IMO, they charge ridiculous premiums, and I don't want to support resellers buying up stock from Hermes that could (should) otherwise go to genuine clients like me. Hermes claims they don't want to sell to resellers but can't they figure out they are obviously doing that! How else do these resellers get brand new Hermes bags on their sites regularly? Sadly, the "special" clients who spend a lot at Hermes stores are likely resellers. So, I do not support them.

Home boutique will be way more expensive than getting lucky in Paris, plus you don't know if they will even offer you a bag after $X spend.

I've been very lucky at Paris (twice!), and I know not everyone has, so keep in mind I am coming from the perspective of someone who has lucked out. But this is the way I see it, it's Paris, it's worth a million trips just to visit the amazing city.
I recommend you open up to being more flexible on size and color though. I would have accepted pretty much any color except the few I really don't like (like yellow).

My sentiments exactly.

The prepaid didn’t work, for 6 times, no record shown in FSH they couldn’t find the registration history at all.

The sim from my own country worked.

Same thing happened to me. I used 2 numbers from my home country and 2 prepaid numbers over a period of 3 days. I scored 2 appointments and both were under the numbers from my home country. I thought it was a coincidence then..

Also, I did not receive rejection notifications on the second and third day via my prepaid numbers. But always received rejection notifications via my home country numbers.

I do see your point.. in my case I’ve been to Paris several times and basically visited all the museums and touristy spots. Now I go to Paris half for H hunt, half just to enjoy the city and its culture - the food, the people, the architecture (I can spend an entire afternoon in the Tuileries sipping wine [emoji13]).

I live in Asia and Europe is half a world away from me, so whenever I travel I tend to visit a few more cities in Europe. Hence I simply cannot afford to spend a whole week in Paris just to test my luck for an appointment. That’s why I kinda miss the days of good old queuing.. you actually get a shot, unlike the situation now.. [emoji20][emoji20][emoji20]
I hear you! I have been going to Paris every year for the past 7 years, it is my favourite city. We do one tourist thing per trip, rest of time is spent enjoying the city. However, I do not rely on buying Hermes there and utilize other travels or more recently the resale market. I see getting a bag as a bonus. I actually use to enjoy standing in line in the store. I use to chat with the others around me and I felt like I had a chance at a bag. I never had to line up in the morning fortunately, I do not think I would have enjoyed that!

Good luck with asking for an appointment!

Hello
I will have my trip to Paris end of this month, and I want to get a b/k croc/lizard, does anyone know are they only offer exotic to VIP? Do the SA need to ask for manager’s approval to sell exotic?

Why don't you look at it this way : Isn't it better to know the night before that you won't get in? - rather than waste three or four hours queuing, being frustrated by the late-comers who queue jump or take up places from hired queuers and then get turned away? At least you know you have not wasted a day and you can always try your luck at George V or Sevres.

I 100% agree! Better to know then to not know and waste a day!

Hello

As far as I know Crocs are only offered to the really, really good customers (yes VVVIPs) and only some senior SAs can sell them without approval.

We were supposed to go to Paris later this year and I was looking forward to/dreading trying the online appointment system for myself. Unfortunately the venue city was changed so I will have to find another excuse to visit Paris (again.)

Do you have any purchase history in paris store? Like @periogirl28 said senior SA doesn't need approval but others will need to check with manager etc. HTH

Yes, Me and my DH both have 4 years purchase history with the same leather department SA and twice a year. She offered me b/k every time we went to Pairs but only normal leather. For last two times, I asked my SA about croc b/k and she told me no immediately not even check if there’s any stocks. So I just want to know do I need to reach an amount to being offer a croc

Hi - I will be in Paris and interested in getting bracelets. Are there always lines to get in Hermes boutique (all 3 boutiques) in Paris? How about Rue de Sevres location? Any SA recommendations at Sevres location? Thanks
