oh dear, now im worried for myself. this is the first time i've heard such case on this forum. now should i buy a prepaid card when i arrive in Paris or should i stick to using my own sim card from my country when registering for an appointment?

The prepaid didn’t work, for 6 times, no record shown in FSH they couldn’t find the registration history at all.

The sim from my own country worked.

^ further to the above I didn’t bother to pursue and ask the hostess why, because by that time I had scored a c24 gold in GHW and a black Togo b30 in rghw. BUT I think i will be careful next time and I will not be using the prepaid sim anymore.

Good luck tomorrow. Do you have a purchase history at FSH? I wonder if it helps with getting an online appt.

Quick update - applied for three appointments at fsh with no luck. Applied for my final appointment for tmr, fingers crossed!!

Also went to George V and serves but with no luck at all in scoring a mini Kelly. I have a feeling that these two stores require a lot of spending.. [emoji20]

A bit upset now sigh.. the game is getting more and more difficult nowadays

I don't know that may be the case as my bf and I both bought the French sim card from Orange and they both worked fine for us. It's how we scored the B25 and K32 in April. I also used my regular sim from USA in Sept and that worked as well. Seems to be an outlier of what happened?

Just got my final rejection email [emoji24]

Am so disheartened.. I wish they would just go back to good old queuing [emoji25]

Aw I am sorry. I did not get an appointment on my 5th try this time either. I actually prefer this system since I believe once you have an appointment your probability of getting a bag in that appointment is higher and it wastes less time. But it is sucks not getting an appointment.

I AM sorry- but I agree with acrowcounted- get there nice and early and just be honest, genuine and polite with the leather SM-maybe I'm naive, but i do believe they want to accommodate people if possible. I will send good thoughts your way!

I do see your point.. in my case I’ve been to Paris several times and basically visited all the museums and touristy spots. Now I go to Paris half for H hunt, half just to enjoy the city and its culture - the food, the people, the architecture (I can spend an entire afternoon in the Tuileries sipping wine [emoji13]).

I live in Asia and Europe is half a world away from me, so whenever I travel I tend to visit a few more cities in Europe. Hence I simply cannot afford to spend a whole week in Paris just to test my luck for an appointment. That’s why I kinda miss the days of good old queuing.. you actually get a shot, unlike the situation now.. [emoji20][emoji20][emoji20]

Why don't you look at it this way : Isn't it better to know the night before that you won't get in? - rather than waste three or four hours queuing, being frustrated by the late-comers who queue jump or take up places from hired queuers and then get turned away? At least you know you have not wasted a day and you can always try your luck at George V or Sevres.
