It's the problem caused by tourist purchases I'm afraid.
I think it has escalated in recent years.
There was a time when European luxury items were much less expensive in New York.
It is one thing to buy something special from the Mother Store if you happen to be on holiday nearby, but now the lower prices in France make them something of a bargain even including transport costs, compared with buying in Asia or US.
I'm sure a few years ago LV priced so that, taking exchange rates into consideration, there was very little incentive not to buy in your home country.

Yes this is the same treatment which long time customers are getting now. I am stupefied.
Oh dear... but the problem is FSH does have the largest inventory and the chance to score your dream bag is the highest there. I’ve heard so many stories of SAs at our home stores playing games with my friends who purchased numerous accessories including jewellery and have yet to score any B or K!
My conclusion is not to pin my hopes too high when I visit Paris and remember to enjoy my holidays! I must say Chanel has benefited much as my consolations...lol!

Hi, everyone. Just want to share my experience - an unsuccessful one. I had been rejected 3x already for the FSH appointment. I used my own passport only as I don’t want to use my husband’s or other family members since I will pay it using my own money.

I went to Sevres yesterday to have a look around and noticed a few customers who looked really happy with their purchases in a white bag. Surely all were either B/ K/ C. The priceless happy faces tell it all - I’m so happy for them too.

I queued up at Sevres this morning again. Didn’t know you have to dash to the leather hostess either. Haha. I was paired with a lovely SA. She was very nice and sweet. She did not write down my preferences nor took my hardware preferences. She said she sort of got the idea what I was looking for. She went back to look at the stock and returned within 5 minutes. Unfortunately, no BKC available but offered me other bags. No lindy as well. She showed me a long constance wallet and suggested to tie a long twilly with it as a strap. So that it looks like WOC style? But it wasn’t my kind of bag unfortunately. She showed me some scarves and perfumes too. I looked around and noticed others were offered wallets as well. I genuinely believe that she was telling me the truth. So I was not that disappointed at all. It was quite an experience for me and my husband. Trying out for FSH tomorrow for the last time. Wish me luck ☺️

Continuing to part 2...

Finally got an appointment with fsh today at 10.30am. Unfortunately i was late coz of heavy traffic all the way from disneyland area. I thought everyone goes upstairs to be served but I was told to go to this counter on the ground floor. I waited for about 10mins maybe for a new text msg to say that an SA was available to serve me. This SA was just a few steps away from me. She was busy talking to this asian man and she seemed like she just wanted to get away from him? That was the impression I got at least.

A few minutes later, she came over to me and I noticed she looked at me from head to toe before saying hello. She led me to another desk probably 5 steps away from the initial counter and asked how could she help me. I told her what i was looking for and she scribbled some notes. She told me to wait while she goes to check the stock. I didn’t even manage to see which direction she went.

While she was away, I was adoring the new birkin officier on display. Too gorgeous! Then i started to wander around the scarves area. But I went back to the place where she told me to wait and I started looking at the kelly on display. Just as I was looking at the display, i saw her talking to another lady at the back. I knew right then, it’s not happening. As she approached me, i smelled really strong cigarette smell from her.... I knew from then, she wasn’t looking at any stock for me. She said sorry madam.. no stock for the iconic bags and told me to book another appointment tomorrow. After the ordeal, I went out of the store. I would have checked out the shoes but I was really turned off by her. Did she just take a smoke break? Or talking to someone smoking in the stock room? Nothing fits the puzzle to me.

The lady at Sevres was so much nicer and genuine in my opinion. So, that is my complete unsuccessful trip. Hehe. Next time I will try to go during offpeak seasons and not fashion week. Hope you guys have a nice read. ;)

I found that once you have an appointment, successful or not, it is unlikely to get another for the next day. That is frustrating. I hope you have good luck. If it's any consolation, the SA who was assigned to help me just took me a few steps away to ask what I wanted. He did bring out bags but none I wanted.

I wish I had known about the white paper bag. When I bought my Lindy 26 in SF, I was a total paranoid wreck when I walked a few blocks to my car. I felt like the giant orange bag made me look like a walking target.

You can also ask them to deliver directly to hotel. Now that I’m sans husband, I use that option to avoid the risk of walkin around Paris alone with gisnt Hermes bags.

I’m sorry you didn’t manage to score your dream bag this trip. Better luck next time to us both! I am also leaving Paris tomorrow. Not sure when my next trip will be (my last one was 4 years ago but hopefully the next won’t be as long a gap hehe)

I visited the Sevres store today for the first time. The atmosphere was definitely calmer and offers a much more enjoyable shopping experience. I arrived at around 11am, when I was putting my name down for an appointment at the handbag section I saw a lady being shown 3 different Birkins (I think they were all B25 from a distance) so I knew they had stock but by the time of my appointment (around 2pm), I was advised that there was no B/K/C left.

I was not at all nervous this time as I learned to not be too hopeful after the unsuccessful appointments at FSH earlier this month and I didn’t leave the store feeling disappointed either but the only thing that bugged a little was the asian SA assigned to me at the handbag department. I was still in the middle of telling her what I was looking for and she already interrupted me and said “No sorry none. If you like I will check but I am sure there is no more”. She then left to “check” but when I turned to the direction she went, I saw her chatting with a couple other SAs behind the counter. I highly doubt she actually checked the stock and of course shortly after her chat she came back with the same big No. I then asked her to kindly check if she could find the scarves and SLGs reserved for me earlier while waiting for the appointment (by 2 other SAs from different departments), she replied that nothing came up when she checked my name at the start.

Funnily enough, I had to go upstairs to the scarf section myself to find out where my items were and the male SA who assisted me then was able to find the items simply by checking my name on his phone. It seems the female SA was very good at saying No and not much else..

I am here to share my unsuccessful experience at FSH store again (after my earlier Aug try).
I managed to get an appointment on my last day in Paris. It was my 4th trial, while my DH was rejected (it was his 3rd trial).

We went to FSH at 11.30am even though my appointment time was 4pm, as we had to go to the airport to board the evening flight. The hostess at bag department kindly let us shift the appointment time early but we needed to wait for available SA. In the end we had to wait for an hour before we got the msg that our SA was available to meet us.

As I have been offered a B35 at George V in Aug after the unsuccessful attempt at FSH, I asked the SA whether I can use my DH’s account as he is also the one to pay. The SA said no and have to keep to my account as I got the appointment. The SA marked down my preferences and left us to check stock availability. She was gone for like 10mins and came back to tell us no BKC. However, I saw she held a small piece of paper in her hand with “B35” marked on it, and I suspect that she has checked my account and found my recent birkin purchase, and decided not to offer me any quota bags. In the end I helped my friend to buy a garden party and for myself I decided to give it a go for the prefall new 24/24 bag in size 29, although it is not exactly the color combo I want (I would have wish for ghw but the SA did not available and only got me a phw)

I am a bit disappointed as I have wished to score a bag under my husband’s account. If I have known the account to use must follow that who got the appointment I would have play the game another way. Lesson learnt.

I’ve been reading everyone’s stories lately, and also from some friends who visited Amsterdam and Paris recently, and I wanted to ask if the Evelyn is now becoming a “prespend” bag or it is just low stock. seems hard to get now too!
